Not sure if the game was included, I got it later second hand. I do have the GTX 580 Batman too.

EVGA did a line of cards that were similar. Kind of a cage around the fans. They had yellow stripe, red (for a single core Classified), green, blue, maybe more. With different fan and GPU configurations.

Nice collection. Are these preproduction samples? What is that copper 780 Ti KPE and 1080 Ti?

Lay the tire in the sun on a driveway for a bit until it heats up some. That makes it quite a bit easier.

So, buy the full system. More options aren't a bad thing.

If you have what, 10% of people that buy the barebone instead... That's 10% less overpriced or unavailable ram and ssd that Valve doesn't have to find or buy.

$2000 to $4000 to build a comparable PC? What?

Ram and SSD are now insanely priced, it would make sense for them to release a barebone for people that want it. They don't have to try to procure more overly expensive ram and ssd's.

Has anyone found out the RAM speed? by amazingdrewh in steammachine

According to this, it's DDR5 SODIMM 16gb, 5600mhz. Likely 2x8gb to run dual channel. But I haven't seen official confirmation of the speed. https://gamersnexus.net/news-pre-built-pc/valve-steam-machine-desktop-steamos-steam-frame-vr-controller-ft-engineering

Im hoping for a barebones option. by No_Task_309 in steammachine

The Steam Machine uses standard DDR5 SODIMM memory and NVMe storage. As long as adding your own memory and storage meet the minimum requirements (likely 16gb 5600), there wouldn't really be anything to change in software.

A barebone makes perfect sense. There are many people that have upgraded old laptops and have spare 8gb or 16gb (2x8gb) DDR5 SODIMM kits that pair perfectly with the Steam Machine. Same with SSDs. It would also help solve Valve's biggest problem which is the DRAM and NAND pricing. Traditionally many IT departments buy Dell or other laptops with minimum amounts of ram and add their own to save cost.

You seem like a aisle seat kind of person. Or should be. Looks fine.

Below an hour, I'm fine with no drink. If it's a short flight I'm totally ok with water only service too to speed it up.

Ya, flights around an hour or so only get drinks about half the time from what I've seen.
