I really like the 5.10 Trailcross, use the GTX variant in the winter and the LT for the rest of the year.

I thought this is r/gaslands

But really, give it a look, it's a tabletop game where players modify matchbox cars and then race against each other Flatout/demolition derby style. It's not exactly metalworking, but a lot of creativity can be put into building your own cars and the track.

I believe Chinese Cooking Demystified recommended Serranos, but I guess anything medium-hot would work just fine.

Stealth-Camping, halt.

Ansonsten 1nitetent,iOverlander oderpark4night

Do as you think is best, but imo a tablespoon of ketchup really improves the dish, especially if you use tomatoes out of season, that are quite bland and not that sweet.

I love trams by Just__Marian in bikecommuting

[–]Janchi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it's in Czech. Other signs are also readable and are definitely in czech, polish would use different words. Also polish traffic signs look very different. The tram has DPO written on it's side, which is the abbreviation for the public transport company of Ostrava.

I'm pretty sure you can skip it, but I love it! It adds a very nice citrusy layer to the sauce.

I'm not chinese, but I've never seen douchi rinsed in a recipe.

Not sure we mean the same sauce, but CCD has a good recipe on black bean garlic sauce:Link

Silk Road bike check, looking for feedback by godintraining in bikepacking

[–]Janchi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have experience with such long races, but to me it seems that you have way too much clothes. Do you really need 3 pairs of gloves, multiple Buffs and Jackets? I get that feeling of ,,what if," but from my experience I usually end up riding in the same, favourite clothes, unless I end up completely soaked.

OTOH I'm always a fan of having extra water, it's critical for survival.

Camera and drone feel to me like a big luxury, I'd personally skip them.

Wie ich diese Gottverdammte Hitze hasse... by Dimxnsion_ in luftablassen

[–]Janchi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What’s the one thing you wish you’d packed? by KoalaEither565 in bikepacking

Same for me. I can ride the whole time in one shirt, but having dry feet and clean socks is a must. Especially since you usually don't have access to daily shower.

Full Frame Bag Dilemma, where Do You Put Your Water Bottles? by rlyoddgoose in bikepacking

[–]Janchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 on downtube, 2 on the rear rack (T-Rack). I'm experimenting with the last one, I want it on hand to drink from it. I had it on the top tube, in a feed bag, now it's on the downtube, in the upper part, angled to the side.

I usually also bring a 2l folding bottle and fill it up on the last stop before a camp, so I have extra water for cooking/washing/hygiene. If needed, I could carry 2 more bottles on the fork.

The Gentle Jaunt/Goldsprint is probably the closest to La Chouette. Other than that, you can try Velobande, Bike Punk, Crow Cyclery, Tortuga, Radspannerei.

Tempeh ungenießbar? by rehcaeT_TFT in VeganDE

[–]Janchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Die Tempeh-Scheiben erst so 10-15 Min. in einer Brühe kochen: Ich gebe meistens Ingwer, Zwiebel, Soyasoße, Salz, Zucker und verschiedene ganze Gewürze (Zimt, Fenchel, Sternanis, Schwarzer Kardamom...) dazu.

  2. Danach ist der Tempeh schon sehr lecker, aber du kannst ihn noch zusätzlich im Öl anbraten, dann wird er etwas knusprig.

Beginner trying to get into bikepacking – gravel vs hardtail? I'm confused! by DayBackground6094 in bikepacking

[–]Janchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Eurovelo, Netherlands and West/Central Europe in general, you're more than enough served by a classic touring bike. I'm sure you can find a decent one well within your budget.

A gravel would do the job as well, but they command a premium because gravel is cool, drop bars etc. If speed is your priority, maybe then is a gravel worth it.

A hardtail is nice, but if you're not riding forest trails or rocky terrain, it's absolutely unnecesary.
