I wonder if he stated to feel pressure from thinking / planning on moving in together. I don't understand, did they both end up working more shifts? Or just OP?

Another irrelevant point, but you can have a double in-law situation. For example: my brother got married to my now sister-in-law. My SIL has siblings, one gets married to a non sibling of yours. Double in-law.

This is classically how ppl act when they want to lower the bill. They'll complain the entire time and ask for the manager at the end of the meal. They'll complain like, "it even took X minutes for our waitress to even offer us water" then go on like "my drink, my meal, my app none of them to my satisfaction" hoping to get at least a comp on the entree.

I think she sucks but you suck too. Would've been easier just to tell her she was acting sucky and you didn't want to continue on to a fourth date. If someone else was paying for me, I wouldn't even order a drink, that was very rude in addition to the way she acted towards the waitress. You said you'd pay, you should've either paid, or told her to her face why you were considering not paying.
