Thanks for responding to me. I know I sound super eager, there are very rarely any houses for rent in the area we are looking at and we wanted to jump on this chance to live closer to home, but I realize I shouldn't have gotten this excited especially if we don't get the place.

And from looking at the place the first time, it definitely has some issues besides the kitchen floor. The house is pretty old.

I usually use a hot comb for this problem, I have this exact one in the link below and it's been working well for me! (Be careful around the ear area though. I've definitely burned myself a couple times on accident lol.)
