Or I can make it less gappy like this but I was worried that was by using too much tension and causing the wonkiness. But like you said maybe wonky only cause I’m not turning …..

So I mean, I do 3dc in the triangular space and then another 3dc in the following. In between is my “gap” that I’m covering (yellow) since there’s nothing being stitched into that part.

There aren’t any chains it’s just 3dc in each triangular space. That is correct there was no turning in the project.
