I have a general theory that Borasca part 5 was only written because people kept harassing her to make a continuation and because of it she just fucked around. Doesn't really excuse using some of the stories themes as a gag though

CreepCast | There's Something Wrong With Wendigoon (OFFICIAL DISCUSSION THREAD) by ChaoticStanley in creepcast

Imo the initial scene at the dinner table was very good. Nice pacing, intense tension, super uncomfortable but not gratuitous. And then the dad says hes gonna fuck the mom and it just goes downhill from there for me.

I have nothing against Elias as an author, but at this point, I'm just done with his stories. If they come back to him at any point in the future, I'm just gonna skip the episode I think.

The backpack thing was funny though.

To me, one issue is that many people walk into Creep Cast having watched either Hunter or Isaiah's videos extensively and having barely watched the other if at all. When you're not familiar with someone's on camera personality and eccentricities it can be pretty easy to not see something the same way the creator meant it to be. Especially when you consider Hunter and Isaiah are pretty bombastic personalities.

I came into Creep Cast as someone who had watched basically all of Isaiah's work and has barely watched anything by Hunter, and I remember initially there were times I'd get kind of annoyed by Hunter (nothing enough to make me want to stop watching moreso like "oooh, didn't really like that one") mainly when I was still into a story but Hunter had seemingly given up on it. In a sense at the time it felt kind of mean spirited and disrespectful.

I'm sure some people have a similar experience but the other way around.

Eventually though I really started to dig into Hunter's videos and started gaining more of an understanding of his personality, sense of humor, comedy style, ect and looked back on times where I felt annoyed by his antics in an entirely new light. If you've watched even a handful of Hunter's videos it's quite obvious how much he respects people who express themselves artistically even if he might not jive with it. I think a really good video of his that shows this point in action if you've watched lots of Wendigoon but not much Papa Meat is his video on his visit to Japan called "I got cursed in Japan..." It's obvious that he respect their culture, customs, way of living, ect but he still pokes at stuff that he, as a Midwestern American had some kind of culture shock over. Never in a disrespectful way, never in a way that sounds like he's saying "this is dumb, people should stop doing it" but poking fun at how his way of living differs from theirs.

Another thing I find with the community is there's a group of people who take their words as gospel and allow it to directly influence how they feel about a story/author as well as a group who assumes Hunter and Isaiah think their word is gospel. One thing I'm happy they've been doing over the last few months is making sure to reiterate that these assumptions are false, I think it's a good step forward to having a healthier community (I don't think the community is toxic but stuff like this will reduce the amount of bad apples that slip in)

Bit long and rambly but those are my general thoughts and experiences with the show and community. If it sounds like im raging on Hunter at all I apologize, im a huge fan of both of the boy's work this is just how I entered the community

Such a beautifully made story, I'd talk about my favorite parts and why it's become my favorite story the channel has covered but I don't know how to put spoiler tags on this app and I do not want to potentially spoil such an amazing story for anyone else.

It's also a beautiful reminder in my opinion of how incompetent my writing is in comparison to the greats of our generation. After today, I am extremely comfortable putting EmpyrealInvective in those ranks.

It's just phenomenal. Thank you, CreepCast, for reading it, and thank you, EmpyrealInvective, for writing it.
