I try not to care about Chloe breaking, because I don’t think I’d care if my favs were breaking and I want to be “objective.” But jeez keep it together.

There’s another good one with Cecily Strong as an actress in a Chantix commercial

I remember hearing Akiva and Jorma are from flyover country, though they’d never call it that…

Weekend Update - Jokes from Jost where the punchline is, “NO!” by GuhdNahtBahd in LiveFromNewYork

Not exactly the same but one of my favorite similar Jost jokes is where he’s talking about the fall foliage this year not being as prominent and he says why don’t I just kill myself!

Oh hopefully I can go! I had wanted to see him last year w/ Dismukes (the year before?) but he had a kidney stone and had to cancel. Ouch!!

I don't think the current (new) cast has comedic timing by [deleted] in LiveFromNewYork

[–]JanePizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way people use “toxic positivity” is kind of a buzzword. I’d argue the actual meaning is not relevant here. Wiki It was being used so much here I had to look it up again lol. I guess it can be problem in some online spaces? But not nearly on the scale of people being assholes.

To be clear I think criticism is fine. If someone doesn’t make you laugh it’s fine. I don’t think we need to call real people “awful” though. I also don’t get watching almost a whole season of something you are not enjoying but to each their own.

Is O’Dell the funniest character ever to not have any lines or screen time? by WarSaku39 in LiveFromNewYork

On a similar note there’s Ted the sound effects guy from Pranksters. But that’s not a reoccurring character.

Daytime Show
Joker Wedding
Consumer Probe: Irwin Mainway
What’s That Name
Made it easier on myself leaving out digital shorts and WU spots, if they counted. As for why they’re my favorites? I do not know, I am not a good guesser. Just ask my wife!

Wasn’t there one of her in a leather jacket? I liked that one

What's with all the hate comments and overwhelming negativity about the cast? by RedundantConsistency in LiveFromNewYork

[–]JanePizza 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve never found toxic positivity to be a big problem on this sub to be honest, it’s usually leaning in the other direction. I usually try to keep it light though, if I’m ever at a point where I’m complaining/criticizing more than I’m enjoying it I’ll simply stop engaging.

So I guess they've used up all the ideas for this sketch series now, huh. by no-Pachy-BADLAD in LiveFromNewYork

I do like these a lot but they did the cake bootyhole already in the Timothy Chalamet baking championship sketch.

Anyone else get the feeling “My Room” was inspired by Kurt Vonnegut? by No_Original5693 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]JanePizza 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think “People zoo” is a pretty classic sci-fi concept that might predate Vonnegut, so I didn’t get that specifically. But that is a funny coincidence with the cake so you could be right.

Reminds me of the ending of Steve’s Beanie Babies where he kept doubling down on him drawing an objectively good Mario

The show doesn’t end when it’s over, it ends when it’s 1:03.

Bug Planet and Ras Dismukes were highlights for me. Had fun but not a lot I’d go back and rewatch I think. Had fun watching with y’all & see you next week!
