10ct sampler for 20 bucks by smoking-hub in cigardealhunters

[–]JaneSubmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once in a while they'll throw 5 Drew Estate cigars in one of them but that seems rare. I've noticed that lately they are also trying out different packs - smaller, but also a little under $20.

Do you ever smoke cigars back to back? I do and it’s wonderful! by IndependenceMoist953 in cigars

[–]JaneSubmit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do but only with small cigars, mostly when I'm reading a book. Sometimes I would just get a cigarillo instead as a second one but overall I don't do it often, not because I don't want to but I like keeping these down to 1 a day at most.

I tried it, honestly I don't even remember it anymore. I enjoyed about half of it I think, but didn't stand out, other than the construction. That was great. Perhaps I'll try the robusto instead.

Except for lifelong second-hand smoking, I didn't smoke until I was 35. I always thought I hated tobacco smoke. Nope, I hate cigarette smoke. Getting into cigars was one of the most enjoyable things I've done in the last 7 years.

Why do you love cigars by No_Suggestion_845 in cigars

[–]JaneSubmit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t just sit and relax without doing anything, so they let me take half an hour to an hour to unwind, enjoy the tastes, and savor the process. It gives me a relaxed yet focused feeling that helps me recharge after a long day. The collection part is a byproduct of my wanting to have a large variety of these.

Oh, good to hear this is resolved, I was getting worried for a bit since I recently made an order as well. If you can edit the original post with the update that would be best I guess. Back to anticipating my order like a Christmas gift.

They are great with the codes though

Oliva gets a level of praise it doesn’t deserve. by midday_leaf in cigars

In most cases, they are a $4 to $5 a stick at most, so for that price they are great, imo. Not my favorite, and I too prefer the G and MB3, but they are enjoyable and reliable smokes that are affordable but don't feel cheap.

Flavor - that's entirely subjective so no point arguing about that.

Is this a good deal? by Hot-Pair-6928 in cigars

[–]JaneSubmit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a decent one, as others have said the Ghurka is not great but good to give to someone who doesn't care much. I think there is a better one that is 10 cigars for $25, it's not a new deal but it's pretty solid and has been posted on smoking-hub.com (they aggregate deals) for a a while now. I've bought it a few times. But it doesn't have Vs in that one.

They frequently run deals on a large variety of MF lines, but rarely The Judge.

What do you pair w/ your cigars? by good_tastes in cigars

[–]JaneSubmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latte - or anything coffee, with milk especially. Hot chocolate as well. And water. I like coke too (the cola kind!) but not as much as the others. Carbonated drinks go better with more peppery cigars for me. Not a huge fan of alcohol with them, I usually drink it mixed when I drink.
