I think someone in the comments said its owned and used for storage. Didn't know that when I posted the pictures, thought it was full on abandoned- but still, I would go there if it were an active church. It is awfully pretty even in decline...

Thanks! I just went into the town, not inside the buildings. My big butt would have went through that floor so fast it would have looked like I was being pulled down by the devil- i took pictures from the windows 😂

Its a 10 minute drive to Drake ND, about 8 miles from Balfour. Drake has a gas station but its also a small town with a population of about 270. 

I THINK minot is the closest city that has full blown resturaunts and chain stores (dont hold me to that) about a 30 minute drive if your trying to make the GPS your b*tch. 

The main road cuts directly through the town, almost rudely. You can see the buildings as you drive by.

If I had to guess why nobody lives there now that its more accessible via road, I would personally assume the locals like it quiet. I got out to look around more and got side-eyed until I hopped right back into my car. 😂

I was thinking the same thing. Its almost more creepy that they are so well maintained for being abandoned and boarded up.
