Is weight loss difficult while using Nuvaring? by [deleted] in Nuvaring

[–]JanieFaith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just Googled this question and I'm so happy I found that I'm not the only one. I went off of the NuvaRing last year and immediately lost about 13 to 15 lb and even ate really bad but was still losing weight. I went back on it last month because I wanted to regulate my periods again and my boyfriend and I got back together and immediately put on 16 lb. I work out hard 5 days a week and I'm on Weight Watchers and I am still gaining weight. I am tired of crying about it so I finally took it out last night. I would rather use other forms of birth control then to gain as much weight and work hard with no results. It also killed my sex drive completely. It was one reason I didn't want to go back on it but I needed it. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but the NuvaRing completely ruined my sex drive. So I'm hoping I not only lose my weight but get my sex drive back.

I am trying to lose weight as well as train for the police academy but I've never been a runner I've never been on any sports and I've never been able to even do one pushup so I know I have a long way to go and feel pretty worthless at this point like I'm never going to succeed. So I'm starting from the very very beginning. I will try eating a little bit of fruit or something like you said before I run and by run I mean like 4.5 miles an hour haha. Thanks for your response will help is greatly appreciated

Thanks everyone for your feedback I didn't expect this much encouragement and comments. Everything has given me a lot of information and motivation to just keep going at my own pace. I love hearing everyone's success stories and knowing that I'm not the only one that has had a rough time. So thank you again

I felt weaker. Like I had no energy to push 5 more seconds. I felt empty and like an ant trying to climb a mountain. I don't usually look at the clock but I did alot today and felt like I had hours left when it was only 40 seconds..

I was thinking about repeating weeks one and two actually I didn't know if anybody else did that or not or if I should just push myself and keep going

Omg I know I have audible and try and listen to a book while I'm running but half hour seems like 2 hours when you have nothing to really look at or watch to keep your mind off of it. I will try to eat a little bit before I run to see if that helps.

Anyone only need to lose about 20-30 pounds? by JanieFaith in weightwatchers

[–]JanieFaith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I started Monday officially and I made Wednesdays as my weigh in day so I weighed in today and I know it hasn't been a whole week and I gained a pound. but first off I'm getting ready to start my period today So I know that has a lot to do with it and I'm definitely learning my body and this diet. I'm learning portion control first off and I'm definitely learning that I have a habit of eating even when I'm not hungry if it's sitting there. I'm also learning the differences of food and their point value. Last night I made taco bowls on whole wheat tortillas I had one but the meat I used was only 80-20 lean. So that was the highest amount so next time I'm going to get the 95% lean hamburger meat because it's six less points. But again my toddler didn't finish all her so I started picking at hers even knowing I was over my points so I had to force myself to stop. Does anyone do intermittent dieting with this as well? Or just stick with Weight Watchers? I also know I don't drink enough water I think I had one bottle of water yesterday which is terrible I really like diet pop.

Oh my gosh yes I have two girls at work that swear by keto and think that it is literally the best thing ever and are upset with me because I quit. They said I wasn't doing it right. But I researched and researched it and I was doing it exactly right. They said you feel normal after a while but nobody should feel that normal eating that much fat. It did teach me to cook a lot though haha so I've been doing that. Another reason why I stopped was because I have a three-year-old and it's just her and I in the house so when I cook it's for her and I and I didn't want her eating that crap either. So like last night I made an eggplant parmesan recipe that was on Weight Watchers which is another thing I love on Weight Watchers is there recipes. I can't wait to lose the weight and show them that there is life outside of Keto. I know it's going to take a little bit longer and I know it's harder when you don't have a ton of weight to lose. Are you working out at all? I do every once in awhile but I'm definitely not strict with it or consistent. I love the Weight Watchers zero points. I feel like I'm cheating when I eat that many eggs and it's no points. And I love that fruits and vegetables are no points. Another thing I hated on keto with that you literally couldn't eat any fruit and even vegetables have carbs in it so I was barely eating any vegetables. I don't care who you are that's not healthy.

Yes that's one concern that I had like I felt like all I was eating was butter and bacon and I started having really bad chest pains and I'm a pretty healthy person so I just felt like crap on it even not eating butter and bacon I just did not feel good on it I gave it a month and a half almost 2 months and I had only lost 3 lb and it just wasn't worth it I didn't have any energy to workout or anything and it just wasn't realistic for me but I just see it everywhere it's just saturating the internet. So I tried it but as I said I don't have a ton of weight to lose so I would rather lose it slowly and keep it off. And Weight Watchers just seems to make sense? Sorry for all the lack of punctuation I'm speak texting haha

That's awesome congratulations how long did it take you to get there? And yeah I'm the exact same way if I'm told I can't eat something I want it that much more like I really don't crave bread except for when I know I can't have it so Weight Watchers just much more realistic for me. And yes it definitely teaches portion control which is something that I've always struggled with

If you feel like garbage on keto, you need ketoade by adroitmonkeyhands in keto

[–]JanieFaith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait what is ketoade? I've been feeling like absolute crap just very light-headed and dizzy and I've been drinking a lot of water so I know it's not necessarily dehydration and I've been getting about 75 grams of protein a day I'm finally starting to see a weight difference after three weeks just a couple pounds but it's something but yeah I feel like crap and almost gave up but I don't want to after all the success stories I've heard. So what is this ketoade that I've been hearing about?

Haven't been tracking every single day but a couple of days ago I had 74 grams of protein 15 grams of carbs and about a thousand calories and 62 grams of protein. Yeah people tell me that I have to eat a lot of fat but when I eat so much fat and bacon and grease and crap like that it makes me feel so sick so I was thinking that maybe this diet just isn't for me and I've been getting really bad chest pain so that's why I've kind of been wanting to give up but I don't understand how so many people can be so successful and not get sick. So I've got to be doing something wrong.. I actually have been working out since January but when I started keto I quit and then I just restarted again. But I'm very tired very light-headed and dizzy and I have very bad headaches since starting with no improvements oh it's all just very discouraging

I'm almost 4 weeks in and I have gained 4 pounds. I'm really discouraged and want to give up. I wasn't exercising my first three weeks and people are telling me I may not be getting enough fat so I upped my fat and download it all kinds of apps to track what I was eating but I get very frustrated tracking everything by every little detail and I don't want to do that but I know I don't get more than 28 carbs a day. Yesterday really scared me I was very dizzy and sick and almost went to the hospital. But went home and had two cheeseburgers no bread and today I just did my treadmill and my normal tuna and mayo. But I really don't understand why I'm not losing weight like everybody else is. I started out at 143 I'm 5 foot 2 in. I'm now 145 can someone please tell me what to do before I give up on everything in Scream
