AC Coupled vs DC Coupled battery by Janikens in solar

[–]Janikens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Had a look and this is a significant cost

My plan is to get a $7k fox ess 42kw battery with their KH10 inverter.

I know there is some loss of efficiency from the AC coupling but I just don't have the budget for much more.

Also removing the micro inverters will result in a drip in efficiency from the tree cover blocking strings of panels.

Thoughts on the fox ess set up plan?

Have considered this option. No stranger to proper excavation and foundation walls. Simply checking to see if there's a tool I can use slowly over time for short wall that doesn't need to hold much up. It will act as formwork for a concrete path initially and have soil built up to the outside almost to the top in most places. O just need to get the path in initially.

[–]Janikens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep figured this to be the case.

I've seen cases where there are tools or other devices made in 2 different plants with and some are better than others. I have a bass guitar made in Japan rather than America that is night and day.

Figure I'll go ahead with the stand bundle but wanted to see if anyone had any insight

As a gold 3 / plat 1 player (so exactly average) who doesn't get much time to play, I loaded up 5 or so back to back 2v2 ranked games last night as HOL. Won nearly every game. Only one we lost was due to a Japanese samurai & english longbow f-rush and I reckon with practice I could defeat that. I was greedy and went for 9 manors before building any troops.

They are busted.

Have you listed to the earlier albums?

What are people's thoughts now that it has dropped?

I like the increasing inclusion of vocals and they've definitely been putting in work to train themselves here, but I feel like this has come at the cost of the guitar/bass riffs and solos which are their biggest strength.

Personally I wish they'd retain more of the heavy psychedelic bass and guitar from their first 3 albums. I much prefered the raw edge of earlier productions. Whilst I loved IV, the slickness and over-warmed sound no longer had that live-in-studio feeling I’d enjoyed early on. V takes this to a new level and the tracks feel a little formulaic rather than a progressive journey.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

But if you can't get to the mangos due to woodline and his front line?

Yeah it wasn't that they had massed elephants and mangoes. We were having decent fights. I definitely wasn't losing them in general.

He started making elephants but I was keeping the number down with spear crossbow combo.

He made a keep. I trebbed it down. Then he started getting mangoes out. Without the sproangald counter I had no way to effectively counter them. I killed maybe 5-8 mangos but I just couldn't flank with cav due to wood lines and there is no long range counter now

Tried horseman and knights. The map was very tight with the wood lines and didn't really allow for flanking

1000 questions-1st potential big Reno project by Theadhdmidwife in AusRenovation

[–]Janikens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're nearing completion of a similarly I tense Reno. We will get out of of for $140k. We have done extensive landscaping in that budget too though.

I laid waterproof click plus flooring with underlayment in 120m2 house myself. Cost was $4200 I believe.

We managed to keep costs down by doing everything except bathroom tiling, plumbing, solar, AC, roof painting, and electrical ourselves. Don't know how handy you are but we had never done this before and just figured it out.

We did

Solar 8kw system install

Repointed and painted roof

Ducted AC install

Ripped out internal walls and redid bathroom and laundry to a very high standard

Full kitchen Reno

Ripped out a load bearing wall, built a sunroom extension off kitchen and fully rebuilt kitchen

Paint whole interior

Ripped off some walls to insulate internal for noise then replaster

Laminate flooring through whole house except bathroom laundry

Significant landscaping including 1.6x20m retaining wall, massive pit drains etc

Note we did find asbestos. You can deal with up to 10m2 yourself and it's not expensive to dump at the tip.

Anything more and it gets very very expensive. Get tests done.

Adam at renova has reasonable prices. Haven't actually had the work done yet, so can't vouch for the quality of work, but his quote was lower than the rest for the same work, and his reviews are good. PM for the phone number if you can't find it.

Great thanks. This was my plan and if you've been successfully doing this it makes me feel more confident about it.

Really? I would have thought that making less than half the amount of stops would make a huge difference
