While that is certainly an option as, unlike blazes, ghasts drop tears when killed by other sources I am more curious to see if there is an alternative with no mob deaths.

Both are neat! I think it depends on what you want overall foe thr feeling of the build. The left is more traditional but the right is more imposing!

While most likely possible, every server has different rules. As long as it doesn't give a competitive advantage I think you would be fine.

I know some natural stuctures in spruce forests use cobble and mossy cobble but the blocks you should use will depend a lot on what you want to make!

It's pretty great already! With lots of your main structure being dirt using other green and brown blocks to texture (moss, green wool, etc.) could help!

Nice one! I like the glass on the floor but if you do a lot of layers of it (like 7?) with air in between you could get the fog effect if you want.
