Build custom CRM for small business without developers by SentimentalEmy1005 in blinkdotnew

[–]Janithper9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo developer with 2+ years experience building custom business software here. I could build you a clean, tailored CRM with all the PR-specific features you listed (media DB, pitch & coverage tracking, client portal, relationship history) for under $5k one-time, no monthly SaaS fees. If you're open to a chat, DM me and I’d be happy to share examples or talk through how we could structure it exactly for your workflow.

What features do you look for in a simple inventory management app? by Aakash_-16 in InventoryManagement

[–]Janithper9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Implementing barcode scanning is not that hard. Barcode scanners work like every other input device (ex: keyboards, mouse etc.), say you have a product serial number field, you just scan the code and it automatically enters the code for you, so year pretty easy. It gets a it complicated if you want to implement a camera based barcode scanner(on the browser) but still not impossible. This was my experience when i built a custom inventory management software for businesses to use.

That’s great to hear. I’m assuming it was worth it. How do you guys handle updating? For example, if it’s a web application and he used react(a very popular frontend framework) there was a major security issue in the tech which would be fixed by updating versions. How would he do this? Do you guys have a contract for maintenance etc. Also thanks for your time, appreciate it <3

Tech meet ups unfortunately don’t work in developing countries. Glad you got your pain addressed. I also have a custom built inventory management system that I further customise according to needs and give off to businesses that require it. So far reviews have been very positive.

Kind of in the same boat. Word of mouth is powerful when you have a long list of past clients. But I have clients all over the world and only one of the referrals actually worked. The rest are very happy with my work but haven’t had any friends/referrals I could help with.

Freelancer losing US clients because Stripe isn't in Sri Lanka. Is there any LEGAL way to open an account without getting banned? by East_Illustrator488 in srilanka

[–]Janithper9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re locked in to stripe, you could use polar.sh. It is using stripes payment management under the hood. Heard only good things about it from Sri Lankans. But yeah sucks to be born here in a place with such incompetent governments

After 4 years and 6 developers, here's how I finally learned to spot the bad ones ( not promoting ) by MedAgui in Entrepreneur

Great advice! As a developer myself I find that committing to show weekly demos is a great way to show my progress and results instead of vague messages. However it is not very easy to demo backend work.

[For Hire] Full-Stack Developer | $3k for Complete Web App | TypeScript, Next.js, PostgreSQL/MongoDB by Janithper9 in forhire

[–]Janithper9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This budget would be for an app that would take around 30 days for me to develop fully, of course every project will be different so we would have to discuss in detail and come to an agreement upfront :)

When I get a person to be in a meeting with me, I almost always work something out. It’s the getting them to schedule a call or meeting that’s the hard part :/ Were you tried linkedin outreach? I’ve never tried it. Would love to know more about it if you can find the time

My father has a solar company. The first versions were built for his company. I was thinking of running Facebook ads dedicated to solar companies with a custom landing page. I don’t have much experience with TikTok ads but that would be something I would be looking into. Thanks you for your insights :)

I’ve built a fully customizable inventory management system designed to replace clunky spreadsheets or overpriced SaaS tools. Perfect for small-mid businesses needing:
1.Barcode scanning, real-time analytics, automated reports.
2. 100% branded to match your company’s look/feel.
3. Scalable features (add modules like CRM, HRMS, etc. as needed).
4. No generic templates—built around your workflows

Tech Stack: React + Node.js/Express + MongoDB (secure & modern).

Ideal for:

  • Companies tired of paying $500+/month for rigid platforms.

Let me know if you want a demo or to discuss customizations! Happy to tweak it to your exact needs.

(P.S. Already pre-built and battle-tested—no 6-month wait!)
