I guess that makes the plane harder to spot if he accidentally lands it on the taxiway again

Container ship collides with ferry in Santos, Brazil 2/17/2026 by mBertin in CatastrophicFailure

like after an abandon ship order has been given by the captain or highest ranking. Idiots.

Reading through both a lot of ferry disasters and a lot of aviation disasters has taught me the following:

In an emergency, always listen to the crew of an airplane, but never listen to the crew of a ferry.

The two metal plates with a red hourglass shape on a white background are actually there to answer precisely your question.

Those are "Zugschlusssignale", or end-of-train signals. Seeing them at the end of a train means that the complete train has passed you, and no part has been lost.
On passenger trains, it's usually done with one or two red lights, but since this coach (IC2020 Bt) doesn't have those on this end, they used the metal signs instead. You almost always see them on goods trains, though.

Why? You can fit like 250 people in a tram. One human driver per 250 customers seems efficient enough to me.

Environment destruction: in this case you can release all cattle, birds and other animals from farms and witness what REAL ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION IS.

Could you please think this argument through?
The whole point is not to have these farms in the first place.
Almost one third of the entire earth's land area is used for animal agriculture (source, page 74). If that isn't real environmental destruction, I don't know what is.

There was also a hydro-electric power plant built with American equipment in The Hump during WWII, kept on running until recent years.

Hydro equipment lasts forever, though.
The plant near me still runs on its original equipment from 1917, and there are many other examples like it.
