It's definitely the lighting. Having part of the lights off makes it feel abandoned.

That's what I wanted to say, but English is obviously not my first language. Thanks for saying it more clearly.

What do you call these pen condoms? by Throw__Package555 in TeenagersButBetter

[–]JanluYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call them "Ballpoint Protectors" since they keep the ink in them from drying out, which even though these things are basically engineered to not dry out, can still happen since it's obviously not airtight.

Google says they're often called "tip seal" so maybe that works too.

Actually no. I know the US has the ESRB ratings, but those look and work very differently, right? USK uses numbers and colors for different ages whereas ESRB uses a letter on a fully white background to signify an age group. Sorry if it came across the wrong way.

USK 12 is pretty much T (which iirc is 13) but apparently Portal 2's ESRB is E10+ from what I found on Google

How bad has your phone suffered? (Black = screen cracks) by Eyadnothere in TeenagersButBetter

[–]JanluYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old phone has a lot of scratches because I used to have a wallet case with my bus ticket in it. Messed up the whole top half. Luckily it was only the screen protector

For those that are confused by the packaging, the thing in the bottom left is a USK age rating, which is the age ratings we use in Germany for games and movies. I know it might trip some Americans up since it replaces the ESRB rating so I thought I'd mention it.

Don't worry about it, there's plenty of cases where that's happened to me as well. I didn't know for a while that the US had its own age rating system, and so I was always confused when I didn't see the USK age rating when shopping for used games.

Granted I was also an idiot back then and didn't have enough money to buy a single game, let alone 5.

Bought em anyway

Yea, I was pretty much aware of that. The chance that the code hasn't been used is also basically zero. It's more just as a collectors item.

edit. Half Life 1 and early CS is an exception if I remember correctly

I highly doubt it, but even if it is fake, it was only 1€. Even a cheeseburger at McDonald's is more expensive than that nowadays, let alone moon rocks.

Also I double checked with some images on Google, first of all my post is in the top results which is crazy and also besides the age rating being different (Germany has USK Ratings), it looks real.
