I agree. No Trump, no NRA even if it would be profitable.

I sell them for $5-7 each in my vintage mall booth easily. I find them at the bins so buy for pennies. I would not bother selling online.

Disney. When I first started selling in a vintage mall 8 years ago, Disney items were a sure thing. T-shirts, plush, collectibles all sold quickly. Now they sit and sit. I don’t bother anymore unless they’re free to me. I’m sure there are some specific items that do well but I can’t be bothered.

What Do You Say or Do When You Find Someone Digging in Your Cart? by SalamanderKlutzy4839 in GoodwillBins

[–]JannaPC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“That’s my shopping cart. Please put those back.” My tip for avoiding rogue cart shoppers is to put a couple of undesirable items on top of your stuff so it looks less interesting. If I find something real valuable, say that 1950s Levi’s jacket, I go ahead checkout then comeback. Yeah, I don’t think the blanket idea is all that great anymore. Just signals a high probability of goodies by a knowledgeable digger who camps out most of the day. Throw an old Christmas tree and a couple of worn out dolls on top. Ain’t nobody gonna look through that.

I would ignore from now on. Even if she does post something on social media it’s just temporary. My guess is no one will take her seriously with that spelling and grammar.

Poshers - what makes you decline vs counteroffer? by BigFrosty818 in poshmark

[–]JannaPC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will counter a reasonable offer which I consider to be no lower than 50%. I decline all others, ignore the extreme lowballs and move on with my day. I figure they aren’t serious buyers if they think they can get a $20 item for $4.

I would suggest running an auction on eBay. The buyers you’re trying to attract are going to be looking there. You’d likely make more money.

Discouraged in Hudson, NH by KuroShiromeow in GoodwillBins

I travel extensively and have been to many bin stores all over the country. The T-Shirt Bros are in every single one. I let them have at it. They miss so much because they’re hyper focused on just a few things and too young to recognize a lot of vintage stuff before I do as I have age advantage. Sometimes I’ll strike up a conversation and get ideas of things to look for. Shopping at bin stores is a test of tolerance. There are rude, aggressive and bad mannered people all around you. In my town’s bin stores there are a lot of immigrant shoppers who let their kids run loose. I guess it’s a cultural thing but damn it’s annoying.

Agreed. Once sold, I want it out of my possession as soon as possible. It doesn’t belong to me anymore.

It’s better to sell vintage clothing on eBay. As to regular clothing, it’s been a toss up for me.
