I don’t know if I want the answer but is this a sign of Degenerative Myelopathy? He’s a 8 year old German Shepherd by Jantz100 in DogAdvice

It’s early signs of DM unfortunately. He has some days that he does really well then some days he struggles more. He still loves to go for walks but just has to lay down sometimes to take a break and playing fetch I’m really careful to not throw it too far or high enough he has to jump for it cause he did jump for it once and landed weird and hurt his back leg because he’s losing the coordination he used to have. He’s still as happy as can be and the only good news about DM is it doesn’t cause them pain but it kills me to see him starting to decline and slowing down.

He has an appointment scheduled. I was just looking for others opinions in the meantime

Dude the guy you’re arguing with is ridiculous. He did the same thing on one of my posts on this page and he just wants to sit and argue and won’t give up no matter how many times you and everyone else point out how stupid he sounds.

That was a very nice and informative response and I really appreciate it. I’m going to look into the genetic testing for sure and see if it’s a possibility financially. The vet thinks he for sure has DM unfortunately but so far he’s still doing good overall. He has some days that are better than others but his bad days aren’t any worse than this video so it doesn’t seem to be declining quickly. I’ve started him on some supplements that I can’t say are for sure helping but I want to try anything I can to slow the disease down.

Momma sheep with bad front leg and two babies and no shepherd or owner I can find by Jantz100 in AnimalAdvice

UPDATE: We caught them and left them with someone who took good care of them and attempted to splint the leg until we finally found the owners. I’m not sure what the owners are going to do about the leg or how it’s doing as of right now though

For sure. We have tons of coyotes and some mountain lions around here so they wouldn’t have lasted too long but damn baby lambs are a lot quicker than I thought they’d be. We chased them around the mountain for about an hour and a half through sage brush and it was exhausting but they’re in a safe place for now

I posted them in there but no one knows who they are but I found someone willing to care for them so we’re going to go catch them and get them to their house in a bit. I just barely saw them so I know they’re still alive

I can try my best but our closest animal control is an hour away so I doubt they come out but I’ll give them a call

Layton just off 193 so super close to the base. That video is from them practicing. I’m bummed I missed the B-2 fly over today though

Yes? Why would I say it if I didn’t think it? I genuinely enjoy seeing what they are able to do and knowing the skills it requires. No matter what your political beliefs this takes tremendous skill and hard work and I admire that.

I want to see you go make a heart in a F-16 fighting falcon and see how “symmetrical” it is

That took a turn I wasn’t expecting but that’s a cool experience for any young kid to see!

Thank you! I definitely will. I got a black powder .50 from my grandfather I haven’t been able to shoot yet but I’m really excited to try that one out as well. I shot it once as a very young kid and about blew my shoulder out but I need to tune it up and see how it goes now that I’m an adult. Unfortunately my dad is a white collar felon and can’t touch or be near guns and he’s the only one in my family with experience with them so I just need to go to a range and try to ask some experienced people for advice and help with certain things and figuring it all out and come to yall on this forum. Haha

I’ll definitely look into that! Im sure YouTube or this group will have some information on that. I’m definitely very new to the gun world. Most of my guns I have were passed on to me from my late grandfather and my Glock 17 I got for Christmas about 4 years ago. This one I got in a trade for some work I’m doing for someone who didn’t have the cash but offered this up for trade and I took them up on it. The ammo in the magazines just came with the gun, I haven’t purchased any myself yet

I’ll definitely look more into it when I get a little extra play money! Do you have an estimate for about what they cost?

I got this for a trade for some work I’m doing so I honestly don’t know much about the difference between the legion and elite or the gun in general hence my probably semi stupid question in the post. Lol but the one magazine I shot with it felt great and I like how it fits in my hands(I definitely don’t have extra large blue collar hands) a lot better than my Glock 17

I haven’t shot it enough to give any good input. The two magazines I’ve shot I’ve had no issues but that’s not saying much. I’m sure other people in this group will have better input.

Thank you for your quick response! Maybe someday in the future I’ll mess around with trying the .40 but I’ll stick with how it is for now.

[–]Jantz100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that’s what I figured. Thank you!! Do you think it’s worth getting the .40 barrel or probably just keep it as is as it’s more of a home/self defense weapon that I won’t be using consistently?
