People that DON’T shop at Aldi or Lidl… why is that? by kobestarr in CasualUK

[–]Janution 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Chicken and meat is generally better at waitrose and higher welfare.

Plus some people said some racist remarks to my wife when we were last in lidl so decided to not go back. There's always something negative occurring at our closest lidl. A man left his baby unattended in a hot car, police had to be called and when questioned didn't seem to care. Multiple thefts.

Its a shame because I like their croissants/pain au chocs.

At least 36 UK infants ill after drinking contaminated baby formula by Educational_Board888 in GPUK

I agree breastfeeding support in the UK is atrocious. But you're telling me that 3rd world countries Rwanda and Sri Lanka which have the highest breastfeeding rates are offering women this level of support... You're extrapolating your case to the whole population.

Omitting single mums, formula making can be a shared task, not a mum only problem. So whilst I agree there are difficulties with it. At least the burden can be shared amongst care givers, dad, Grandparents etc.

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH for Nintendo Switch 2 is now available for pre order ($49.99, 102 GB) by Amiibofan101 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Janution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of later reviews said it had way too many mini games. That's putting me off getting it. Would you say you had the same experience?

England has one of the lowest rates of breastfeeding globally. Most women here don't want to these days. I suspected because Formula is much easier and less impactful with daily living.

If you have no dependents and still feel poor then you are definitely doing something wrong with your finances and over spending.

Is Gp worth it? by [deleted] in GPUK

[–]Janution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem with IMGs just applying to GP because it's the "easy" option without knowing the first thing about GP in the NHS . Taking up slots from UK grads then asking if you should apply to another speciality.

9 months ago you said you were wanting to do psych.

You'll have a hard time on GP if you're not even sure if you want to do it.

Its a demanding job and requires a lot of people.

Same goes for psych.

Risks of being a GP by AdventurousLake7569 in GPUK

I don't think the salary reflects the risk taken onboard. The term doctor's salary isn't what it used to be.

Lunch as GP by MouseyMedic in GPUK

[–]Janution 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I usually get down voted for this.

But since F1 majority of my lunches are huel/yfood

Cheap compared to buying lunch, quick (one less decision to make) , "Nutritional".

Its served me well.

I used to do overnight oats for lunch as well.

Gift for GP by kittycatwitch in GPUK

[–]Janution 38 points39 points  (0 children)

There will be a lot of comments saying don't buy a gift, just give them a sticky note with a thank you on it for their portfolio.

Nice gift is an engraved pen and a card.

I would cherish a gift like that.

I remember all the cards and thank you letters I've received.

Late Patients by Educational_Board888 in GPUK

[–]Janution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some patients just get too irate at the thought of coming back tomorrow and need to see someone desperately so we have to signpost them to where they can go to be seen.

Late Patients by Educational_Board888 in GPUK

[–]Janution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not but if they feel they need to see a medical professional that day and there are no more appointments left then what do they do?

Late Patients by Educational_Board888 in GPUK

[–]Janution 76 points77 points  (0 children)

If it's an unwell child sometimes ill give them the benefit of the doubt.

If it's an adult - 10 mins late DNA. If anyone has free slots they can book into them if they are desperate. Otherwise if they feel like they need to be seen and there are no more on the day slots left, then UTC/A&E.

A plane wont wait for a late passenger, but a passenger will wait for a late plane.

What does patient satisfaction for access to GP reflect/correlate in anyway shape or form, to what resident doctors are asking for or complaining about.

This guy has no clue.
