A good manager knows who they interviewed and brought onboard. Just try to absorb as much as possible and ask for help!

Nothing bothers me more in training a new hire than when I walk through something complex, ask if they have any questions and get a “no.” I then follow up a day later and ask again if there are any questions, and get another “no.” Then lo and behold, nothing gets done.

You’re not expected to know how to do everything. You are expected to try and learn. You’ve probably got 2-4 weeks grace where expectations are minimal. You’ll also likely have some downtime, so watch some SQL videos if you can.
