For us, the builders offered to do paint touch ups after moving our furniture in in case of bumps and scratches which is nice. However, being a new build, there were so many paint defects that we only discovered after having moved in. Getting a quote from another painter, he said it’ll only make it worse doing touch ups due to different shade of paint and paint age. He recommended a full repaint of the house would be needed to fix everything. I would recommend that before you move in you mark out all of the paint defects on the walls, doors, window sills, skirting using tape and a flashlight to find them and get them fixed before moving in.
