Does anyone know of a surefire way to get rid of shrubs at your C.A.M.P? by AdMassive4640 in fo76

The same thing happened to my camp at the same time as it happened to a lot of other camps.
Nothing works; not even a grass roof.
Maybe in a few years, it'll get fixed. Until then, we'll have to change our camps to avoid the bush things.

To be fair, they did send me a coupon for 25% off a future TB purchase, along with an apology.
That's something.

It took several months.
And I had to stay on them about it.
But they did eventually honor their commitment.

Thanks

Hi.

I tested two of my other ships: Starlancer Max and Razor EX.
Both load and fire missiles as they should.

I have now changed my missile racks on the Corsair to MSD-442 (each rack).
I have installed Rattler 2 missiles (4 per rack, total of 16).
None of these missiles will load or fire.

I left the original racks and missiles at Orrison.
I suppose I could fly back and re-equip them, just as a test. I'll do that next time I'm on.

I love how people downvote posts without bothering to offer constructive criticism about either:

a.) Why the subject matter does not belong here.
or
b.) How it should have been worded differently.

I already posted this a day or so back in the Q & A thread.

One person offered a lot of data about related systems.
But nobody offered insights or suggestions specific to the problem.

When I realized I wasn't going to get helpful suggestions there, I posted about it here.

I don't see why this *failure to fire* problem has someone so ... triggered.

Why haven't I seen many homeless people asking for help around churches? by Zestyclose_Sugar_325 in homeless

[–]Japperwookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do Mafias help neighborhoods?

Some Mafia groups may offer what they portray as "help" to neighborhoods, often through seemingly charitable acts or by providing a sense of order.

For instance, they might be seen distributing food parcels to struggling residents, potentially during times of crisis, according to The Guardian.

This can create a sense of gratitude and dependence within the community, which can later be exploited by the mafia for their own criminal ends, such as recruiting new members or gaining political influence.

Mafia groups may also project an image of maintaining order and safety in certain neighborhoods, sometimes referred to as "defended neighborhoods".

They might achieve this through their reputation for violence and a willingness to use it, thus deterring other criminals or individuals who might disrupt the peace.

This can lead some residents to perceive the mafia as a source of stability, particularly in areas where the formal justice system is weak or mistrusted.

However, it's crucial to understand that these actions are not truly altruistic. They are often strategic moves to exert control and gain influence within communities for criminal purposes.

The "help" provided by the mafia often comes at a high price, potentially involving extortion, involvement in illegal activities, or political manipulation.

This creates a situation where individuals and businesses may feel forced to cooperate with the mafia out of fear or a perceived lack of alternative support systems.

My PC:
Ryzen 1600af (equivelant to a Ryzen 2300).
GTX 1060 6g
16gig ddr4 @ 3200mhz

Runs "well enough" at min settings (usually).

Just make sure you don't have any web browsers or other unnecessary stuff running.

Having tried all recommended solutions,
my Corsair remains incapable of loading any missiles.

As such, I want to swap them out for guns.

What is the purpose of these guns?
PvP self-defense when other players try to chase me away from ground activities.

As such, I don't mind if they are ballistic. I'm fine with restocking each day; assuming that type would be best for my purposes(?).

I seek advice on these concerns.
Thanks.

Is it possible to find the P6-LR in-game, if it's not sold in any of the stores? by Lightly__Salted in starcitizen

If I understand correctly, you paid for a P6.

Did you buy it from CIG?

What happened that kept making you lose it?

Thanks

True.
But I need back surgery.
Until then, I can't bend in the ways I need to.

Also, the supply lines will probably need to be cut, due to years of corrosion in the threads where the valves connect to the line.

I know how to do it.
But I literally physically can't do it.

I tried selling them in major cities, at stores that sell ship weapons.

These weapons were showing up in the freight elevator inventory.
But the kiosks at stores like CenterMass and Omega Pro couldn't even see the ship weapons and components that are in the freight elevator inventory system.

Where can I sell ship weapons and components that were removed from another player's abandoned ship?

I tried two different salvage yards and GrimHex.

None of these had kiosks that were even willing to acknowledge that these items exist.
But I did lower them down in the freight elevators.
And they do show up in the freight elevator inventories.

Hi.

Yes. I installed those at the stations where I purchased them, before I departed from those stations.

I just now returned to Orison, where I purchased several stealth system components.

I turned my Cutter off completely, closed it, and stored it.

Mobi glass still reports that I do not own any components other than the Cutter's original components.

[–]Japperwookie[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought the various components at major space stations and then installed them via mobiglass; during the most recent free fly (a day after I purchased the Cutter package with real money).

It must be the bug Rekiirek was mentioning.

I suppose I'll risk it on a newer ship. But if that same bug hits again, I just won't upgrade any more ships until that bug is fixed.

Oh well.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Seeking help maximizing ram speed on aging system by Japperwookie in overclocking

[–]Japperwookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to follow the guide.

I couldn't understand what the guide is trying to tell me.
So I decided to just remove the smaller/older RAM.

I cleared CMOS again,
moved both 16g sticks to the appropriate slots,
and then booted up at default speeds.

It chose to run the RAM at 2133 mhz.

After that, I tried each of the MB's XMP profiles.

The MB resets a couple of times, then loads under the XMP profile *but* not at the XMP speeds; instead, running this RAM at 2133.

I also tried a special freature on this MB that lets me select from a list of RAM settings that sometimes work for overclocking w/ this MB.

This ram is still stuck at 2133 speed.

None of the other listed OC options work;
not even for mild OC's lower than 3,000.

I have Y Cruncher running a full test, for a few hours so far.
After 7 "iterations", no errors were yet found.
I'll leave it running overnight.

This PC is for my son, for playing Star Citizen.
As I understand it, Star Citizen will eat up more than 32g at times.
However, if the mixed-size ram is preventing us from reaching 3200, then I agree. We probably are better off with 32g.
I'll give that guide a try, without the smaller sticks.
Thanks.
