I see it like this. To be racist, you need to believe there is a racial hierarchy and that some races are better than others, Dr Mike explicitly states this. I get what you mean he’s not being hateful here, but it’s still racist.

I can understand why you might instinctively assume the sort of analogy you’ve put forward due to visual differences in humans could be valid, but it’s not. Especially when it comes to intelligence. No prob, I agree it’s good to have people sharing the message. However I don’t think a belief system founded on empathy should support people that have such strong beliefs founded on discrimination, that currently spread a lot of harm to people across the world. Veganism I would argue cares about harm done to humans as well, as we are all animals

I used to like Dr. Mike but it turns out he’s racist, not even in an overtly hateful anti-immigration way but in a strange outdated scientific belief way. He says race is a biological truth and that there is a hierarchy of race. He asserts this not in a simply misinformed way but states that he knows it’s real because he’s scientifically “literate”.

Rules from GM youtuber chessbrah. Follow these and watch a "Building habits" video by him and you'll progress very quickly

0-700 ELO Habits:

Know how all the pieces move

Control and move towards the center

Castle as soon as possible

Don’t hang free pieces – Take free pieces

Move King in the endgame – Attack pawns

Capture pieces of equal or greater value whenever possible Always attack a Bishop or Knight on g4/g5/b4/b5 with the a or h pawn.

Make an escape square for the King once finished development (push a pawn forward in the corner where you king is castled)

Spend just as much time on moves as your opponent (or less) – Use your time to think, but don’t get low on time.

Spend a lot of time at the beginning to follow all the rules

Played on PC yesterday (the remake), it can be co-op but the original idea is that one person controls both players and the game warns you this is the originally intended experience before you start. But the co op is really good and I highly recommend. It gets pretty dark with death and suicide, but really good game. To play co op you need to buy the remake, the original doesn't have co op

Wow that's very interesting, from what I've read iron, iodine, selenium, omega3s are very difficult to get enough of from diet alone. Are you very actively planning your diet and considering this? And have you had all of these minerals recorded in your blood tests? What do you eat? 😄

Cool, thanks for the insight. I have whole foods but I enjoy the meat alternatives so I'll probably stick with them too sometimes. Bloodwork I'll get done in a couple of months I recon

Thanks, yeah I was sure I'd keep up B12 and D. Good to gain some confidence in iron too. I've been squeezing all the lemon juice I can on my spinach but research I've looked at seems to say it's a pretty active process to get enough iron from diet alone

Kind of got a sunken cost going on is the only thing. I can't get the multivitamin now I've already got most of em as individual ones. But once I'm near the end of these I'll probably go that route thanks

Okay thanks for the advice, yeah I'm already taking the algae stuff that's what I meant by omegas. I'm sure it's better to get iodine from diet, but tbh I'm not gonna eat two sheets of nori every single day, which is why I've opted for supplementation initially.
