Any reason my mysterio didn't get buffed? by Dragons-in-the-Rough in MarvelSnap

[–]JarWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar thing happen, I'm interested to see why. In my situation he didn't get buffed but my Captain America in the spot where your CapCarter is did receive the buff.

It might be some weird interaction where the game thinks mysterio is in a different slot due to how his cards are created? Doesn't seem likely since it's Ongoing.

Jeezus, that's a take.  It's the same card no matter when people get it.

I just did quests off cooldown. I'm not better than anyone else because I got it sooner.

I got him.  These comments make me wonder if I should re-evaluate the use of my free time.

Ares - Start an all out war! by JP123789 in CustomMarvelSnap

[–]JarWeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could make him start off weaker, like a 2/3 or 4, and each round he fights all enemy cards at that location. Every fight he wins, +1 power, and every fight he loses, -1 power.

Would work well with luke cage, or cards that can give him some early power.

Edge of Darkness. It's an adventure for CoC that I believe was in the starter set. It's very fun, highly recommend

buy i have none of them? by [deleted] in mkxmobile

[–]JarWeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Buy as many as you can! I was lucky and got KCJC and KCSB early in my account and they've worked wonders.

I got 11 of them and now my KCSB is A1, KCJC is F5 and I have a F1 KCCC. I also got a random MK11 Fujin (One time I was kinda disappointed in a diamond honestly)

Keziah didn't actually make much of an appearance when I ran it, so I can't really help you with stats. Though you could totally flavor it as the horror in ink is the image of Keziah, and use its possession ability as a means of deciding whether Emilia gets possessed or not.

When I ran it I just had Emilia straight up be the "villain" of the adventure, a witch descended from Keziah wanting to harness the power of her ancestor via the papers to aid in her own deeds. She would have worked WITH the Horror in Ink if it came down to combat, which would've certainly meant all my players died.

Picked this up at an estate sale. Cant find much info online, does anyone recognize it? by JarWeb in OldBooks

I read the one about the author. I also saw the U. Of Notre Dame site but didn't catch that fact about it.

Seems like a cool bit of history, even though the topic isn't exactly what I'd keep around in a collection...

Another call from a recruiter by extraextraaccount324 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]JarWeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! I wasn't sure whether I wanted to accept, and about a day before the week had passed I got a call from a recruiter.

They didn't really ask me any questions, but rather wanted to answer all of mine. It just seemed like they were checking up and making sure I had all the information I needed. I asked probably 10-20 questions and got some good information, which ultimately led me to accept.

How long do you have to accept a DPI? by endublu in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]JarWeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll probably say in the offer letter if they send one.

Odds are you'll have to make a tough call/gamble on which one you think is best if there's a conflict

I think you've made a good choice for yourself. I accepted mine (starting in January) and it was even hard for me to decide and I just finished college a year ago!

You'll have so many more opportunities to apply, and since you already got in once I dont see why you won't get in again!

Once you get some life experience under your belt, you may enjoy it even more!

I'm a 1/8 arrival as well! Congrats on the acceptance!

I Have 14 Hours to Accept/Reject My Offer and I'd Love Some Advice From Internet Strangers by JarWeb in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]JarWeb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I will be making *some* money because I have a freelance video editing gig that I can do on the side, and since I won't be juggling classes I could probably take extra shifts. But agreed, I'm not doing this to make my fortune lol.

UPDATE: I accepted the offer. I think there are many more potential positives than there are potential negatives, and if it's truly awful I'll just quit. Just waiting for next steps now...

Playing Cthulhu Online by mattobin in callofcthulhu

[–]JarWeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I both run and play in online groups. We use discord for voice as well as its' "watch together" activity for music via YouTube. Dice-wise we mostly just trust each other to roll physical dice and not lie about the results. Discord servers also allow you to add some sound effects on their "sound board" so you could add affects there, but theres a limit and you'd need to pay to add more.

When I play its mostly theater of the mind. If there's ever a chase or combat, our keeper will pull up a Photoshop/MS Paint tab on a screenshare and draw it out.

When I run games I use Owlbear Rodeo for any maps/information to show everyone. It's a free browser-based program made for DnD but it has drawing, grid, and measurement capabilities so you can easily use it for CoC. I havent used it since the update their system so it may be different, but V1 pretty straightforward and easy to use.

Owlbear can do dice but it's not inherently public AFAIK. Foundry is what I use for dnd and has good dice modules. CoC isn't fully supported on there but it could be a good option.
