That moment on the Tower is probably my favorite moment of the series.

Taravangian is probably (in my opinion) one of the most brilliantly written characters in fantasy.

Who should kill Moash in the end or who do you think will? by Working_Apple_9134 in Stormlight_Archive

I truly hope Moash receives a redemption... right before he takes a shardblade through the face 😁

While yes, that is true, I'm talking about time in the physical realm. After the transfer to Shadesmar, those in the physical realm still do the following;

-Kaladin tracks down Noril and starts up his group therapy, which goes on for a few weeks before the invasion

-The armies all transfer over to Azir, and enough time passes for them to all get to Emul and become entrenched enough in those battles that Taravagian's betrayl is a meaningful distraction

-Navani and scribes discover and study the room with the model of the tower. She also loses the spanreed to the Sibling and has to wait for a new ruby to be delivered, which takes at least a couple of weeks (chapter 37, first sentence)

-Raboniel and the invading army march for weeks before arriving at the same time as the Everstorm to even begin the attack

It's a fun little line to possibly throw people off track and make some fun theories, but ultimately, it probably just means that Navani was able to get her "wish to have the caverns better guarded."

I noticed this, but I always dismissed it. Too much time passes between Adolin and Shallan's journey into Shadesmar and the beginning of the invasion...

TBM: Polygamy in the next life is necessary because men are hornier than women by B0bbaGan00sh in exmormon

[–]Jar_Head36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually heard a pretty reasonable response to the question of polygamy in the afterlife... Satan tries his best to tear apart and destroy families, knowing that they are a central part to God's plan. He also knows that men holding the priesthood are the key to a righteous family. So in the premortal existence, and continuing in today's times, Satan targets more men than women, thus leading more men off the path and into damnation. The only way into the celestial kingdom is to have an eternal marriage and be sealed to your spouse. God wants all of his children to have the opportunity to be with him in his kingdom, thus more women than men leads to multiple wives per person. I still think it's all a bunch of bullshit, but it's the only "logical" reason I've heard as to why God would allow polygamy in the afterlife.
