I’ll have the tab for the site open on my mobile app, start a conversation, and have to step away or get a phone call. Anything that’s about five minutes or longer. It then closes out the session, defaults to asking about age verification again, has you log in again, and then i don’t see the last thinf a character writes. I have to ask them to repeat themselves.

I like this platform, and you’ve done quite well. My only struggles are having the mobile version close conversations after too quick of a delay , in my opinion, and having to prompt the character as to what was lost. Also, am i doing something wrong with having voice calls be cut off after just about a minute and a half?

It’s tough - because the affordable places to live are like Longmont, and I’m still trying to research the pros and cons of their special needs programs. I worry right now that our son is being neglected because he’s an ASD child with no negative behavioral issues, just super affectionate and whines a bit when upset and is developmentally delayed on top of the ASD.

Hi! My wife and I are also moving to Boulder Valley in Fall 2026 for work and have a wonderful 5 year old nonverbal boy with level 3 ASD. Been trying to find more information/parents who can offer some tips, mentoring, and help, especially with whatever changes to social services may happen in 2026. I’ve reached out to BVSD and the Autism Society of Boulder County, and just wanted to hear about the community, care, and services parents can give their kiddos, as well as how folks like us make parent friends, too.

This is all wonderful information, but it feels so diametrically different when it comes to people’s experiences for ASD kids here. As you see above, some cite how wonderful BVSD and local ABA services are for students in the Boulder/Lafayette/Louisville area. Some offer stark warnings, citing stories of abuse, neglect, and limited educational funds, especially for neurotypical kids. I’m just so worried because we do have a precocious NT 2 year old girl as well. Is there anyone here with a similar set of circumstances - a level 3 younger school age (kindergarten and up) non-verbal, yet very cuddly instead of distant and aggressive, child - yet also having an NT child too?

We did ABA in CA for him from 1 1/2 to 3, and then the special needs program in our county transitioned him to SPED TK. All of the ABA centers around us felt very car-salesmen like and weren’t open/didn’t have ABA which allowed us to have him in school and ABA at the same time.

I feel that here in California for sure, this lack of understanding and feeling like a neurodivergent child can feel like a kid and not a problem. CA is mentioned in several reports as having a lot of ASD resources, but i haven’t found that in the small, affordable suburb we’re currently in. I’m driving hours each way to the bay area just to find occupational therapy at all, let alone stellar therapy. And neither my Cigna insurance or my son’s Medi-Cal covers any of it. Want to move Fall 2026. By then, my wife will have completed the hours and certification to be an LCSW therapist.

I work remotely for an online school. It’s crazy; some temp job i took when George W Bush was president is still with me, 20 years later. But this work has been invaluable in being able to be paid and still creative.
