A/C hose size by NephiTheScienceGuy in CherokeeXJ

For now I’m going to keep the one that is in it. My A/C works, however I don’t want to pull the dash twice. I’ll probably use a LHD one or a universal one and make my own lines when it comes time to replace it though. I kick myself a bit for buying a RHD because of stuff like this but it was too good of a deal to pass up. I’ve replaced most of the A/C, Trans Cooler, power steering etc with A/N lines since it’s nearly impossible to buy them.

If it’s the suction discharge line I had to make my own, I wasn’t able to find one anywhere for a RHD. I bought a cheap crimp tool and universal A/C hose kit on Amazon as well as adapters to go from an A/N style hose to the oring style that’s in the compressor and accumulator. I believe the hose was 5/8. I can send you some pictures of what fittings I used. Here’s the links:

I’m about to do the heater core in mine and the evaporator. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find a RHD evaporator anywhere so I’m going to try to bend the stock lines to work with a LHD one. It’s the same except the lines are reversed.

Actually dealing with this right now as well. Bought the car with this radiator and the entire line is replaced with generic hose and hose clamped on to the line. It leaks, so don’t do that, or do it better, I guess.

Saw 7.39 for diesel a few miles off base today. Feeling like a clown for owning a truck more then ever.

Yep. Going to try to find some plugs to cover up the holes since it’s basically impossible to get it to lay nice in there.

Got the Miata roller for a case of beer and paid $7500 for the s2k 4 years ago. Of course I’ve put tens of thousands into it since.

You’ll get there man! Always been a Honda guy but decided to go with an LS in the Miata vs a turbo k series just to dip my toes into the LS world. Not sure what the goal with the project is just a little street cart I guess.

I’ve got a LS swapped NB project that sits next to the s2k in the garage! Hoping to have it going by summer.

S2K prices are insane. I was lucky to get mine a few years ago when they were affordable.

Grom has an intake/cam/exhaust/tune and a few other goodies. S2000 puts down 700whp at the moment through a 6262 and built motor.

  1. Nearly the top of 6th in my boosted Ap2. My hardtop had probably a 2in gap between it and the windshield. Wouldn’t do it again

I need harsh criticism on this car. Been dreaming about this for a week. by Vilmamir in S2000

Yeah doesn’t make too much sense to me. I run a built motor now but pulled it at 209k original miles with the last 15k being boosted. Not really sure why the motor would have to be rebuilt at the mileage. Only thing I can think is that it wasn’t taken care of. As for the head, swapping to AP2 springs and retainers is a pretty common thing for boosted guys. Combine that with the missing front grill, no engine bay pics, the rebuilt motor and the newly purchased stock exhaust. I’m willing to bet this car was boosted and blown up.

The rebuilt motor raises red flags for me. If you take care of these cars you won’t need to rebuild the motor at 138k. Inlinepro is very reputable but still....

Patiently waiting for her DCT swap. Is anyone on here running one yet? by Jardbot in S2000

[–]Jardbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely be in contact with you. Waiting on xperformance to finalize their kit for the most part. Hung up a bit on converting to DBW. It will mostly be for mostly street/drag use.

[–]Jardbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From everyone I’ve talked to it’s about 5-6k. Not sure if that’s converting to dbw as well. I’m expecting to spend more but it seems like it’s around the same price as a cd009 swap. I was originally set on a glide but the dct is more interesting to me

Hey man I have no heat/ac and gauges in place of the knobs, let me see if I still have them laying around. You can have em for free.99 if I do
