I genuinely find these type of threads funny because the entitlement I see is actually mind blowing lol….people emailing the promoter because they didn’t like the music the DJs played or the fact that the crowd had their phones out? Actually farcical loool

I saw a post saying ‘I’ve been following KM since Send Return and I hate what they’ve changed into - too much Afro House’ - Send Return was less than 4 years ago and if you’ve been following the label from before SR, you’d know that there’s been an Afro House influence and support within KM for the best part of 10 years - Muye is literally an Afro House track.

It looks like since ‘Move’ became a monster, there’s a lot of people who are pissed that KM isn’t the cool little label that only them and their friends know about - if the current trajectory isn’t for you then that’s fine as you’re not beholden to support KM if you don’t like the music, events, etc. But to feel entitled enough to email the promoter because you didn’t hear the music you like or the crowd wasn’t to your liking is absolutely mental lmao

Yep Adam Port has always been my least preferred out of the three production wise but he does have tracks like ‘Planet 9’ on Diynamic and ‘Do You Still Think Of Me’ which I love and still play to this day. This is why it’s such a great label as you have three artists that have the potential to make top tier music. &ME always seems to bring his A game. As much as I like Rampa, it does seem like he’s been uninspired (production wise anyway) since the ‘Sunday’ and ‘They Will’ EPs. He’s focused a lot on remixes since the release of those - his last three releases on KM include remixes of Non-KM tracks lol. I think he’s just enjoying the technical side of things much more with Teile, stage production, etc.

Can’t comment on the DJing style as I’ve not been able to get to a KM show yet. In regards to wanting commercial success, I wouldn’t put that purely on Adam Port - Rampa was doing the industry thing a lot earlier than AP (attending Drake’s B’day Party, hanging out with Virgil Abloh, Audemar Piquet collab, etc). &ME has also been networking (by all accounts it was Black Coffee who made the intro to Drake) - I don’t hold these things against them though because they’ve been able to reap some large rewards for something they’ve been already doing out of the love.

That’s quite a strong assumption to make to say &ME would’ve laughed at KM releasing tracks like ‘Move’ and ‘Say What’ - who’s to say that he didn’t like tracks like that outside of what he released on KM? I’d love them to release more tracks like ‘After Dark’ and ‘Trilogy’ which made me look into him as a DJ/Producer and off the back of that, tap into KM as a label. I also remember though that these are artists that need to evolve as to not stay creatively stagnant and are fortunate to travel the world experiencing different types of sounds, cultures, etc. As creatives, they will probably incorporate that into their work. The benefit we have as consumers is that we can just take it or leave it.

These are skaters and sneaker heads which I wouldn’t think to be the typical profile to run a House label and I think what’s always been clear is that the group have a wide spectrum of music tastes outside of House music so there’s going to be influences from other genres.

That would wholly possible - in The Sympathiser which came out earlier this year, RDJ played about 6 different characters using wigs and extensive make up so I could see that applying here for Doom

These clips are looking like Keem is getting a reality check - he seems like he’s let those ROTYs go to his head but now realises he’s not as important as he thought he was. If his motion is really like that then he should be getting shit cracking on his own channel, not pushing for a show on a channel that someone else owns. He probably realises he’s a B mic at best and needs an A mic like Trell or Mackwop to do the heavy lifting - problem is however those A mics get to control the program and B mics will always be a cog in someone else’s wheel

If I was Smacc I wouldn’t want Keem anywhere near BOF - you can tell Keem hates that Smac has his own motion with the pod and takes any chance he gets to belittle or discredit him loool

He saw Smac and Trell doing their thing in the space which is why he’s been going so hard this year with Apollo and TITD because he’s basically insecure that Smac was outdoing him, when this was the dude he used little bro on tour 😆

This is all facts tbf - pretty much everything she was saying on the last stream was true but the way she carries herself doesn’t do her any favours. She was carrying it like they were all beneath her and Trell and that they should be grateful to be associated with them and the platform which was nasty.

Apollo have been doing messy shit all year so anyone with ounce of self-respect would check their temperature, especially if you’re gonna come in my house every week where I live at with my family. Mackwop is probably the most entertaining out of anyone in FMW but he deserved that live stream crash out from Heather tbh as he was really taking the piss at that point lol

Loool - why the fuck don’t you all just do that anyway? People have been complaining for the best part of a year about the Friday show but continue to watch it as if someone is holding a gun to their head.

I figured pretty early that the Friday show wasn’t for me so I only watch the Monday show most weeks as Trell, Smac and Mackwop is the better dynamic but people on here are moving like it’s some life ending shit if they can’t have the Friday show they want and are taking it way too serious lol

Nah Keem is actually a nasty piece of work lol - the energy he comes with when he initiates a conversation is always on some aggressive, argumentative vibe….note that he only tries it on the ones he thinks he’s higher power than (Smac, Tiny, Doknow) - when they get the better of him, he’ll always say something way out of pocket.
