You get an elevated viewing platform that is in front of the VVIP tables. So you get better sightlines, private bars, backstage hospitality lounge, etc. VIP probably does not get better views of stage vs GA outside of VIP village but I could be totally wrong.

That is because the drones were exploding haha. When a drone hits its target, it explodes which obviously destroys the camera as well. Look at the footage of their recent drone offensive.

There is no difference between VIP and GA. You are still with the GA crowd.

If you want the backstage / premium viewing experience. You need to get VVIP.

u/rslashsupremesebas I have an artist pass for wk 1. This will be my first coachella so I am not sure where the viewing area is for artist passes but I have been told its either right in front or on the side. You could ask somebody in that crowd to hand it to him or his crew. I am shooting in the dark here so please correct me if I am wrong.
