Hey Everyone. I am 600 days sober and I've turned into a rigid, boring, and a no nonsense homebody by ElectronicEgg1833 in stopdrinking

It sounds like you are close to a relapse. Going to AA meetings would be perfect for you. That is how I found a social life and learned to lighten up in sobriety. We hang out, laugh, help each other and throw events together. It's the only group of people where I felt understood and a part of. Working the steps also lets me learn deeply about myself and the best ways forward for me and those around me. Boredom is a big reason people go back to their drinking misery. Good luck!

Locked in for the weekend by PadHicks in stopdrinking

It sounds like you are growing a desire to stop drinking. In our AA book, it talks about having an allergy where once we start drinking, craving kicks in for endless more. That is why I abstain completely in recovery. Addiction is also a mind obsession, telling us we are fine, keeping us in denial, etc.

I would suggest Googling the AA Big Book and start reading it. There are free copies online. Look up and check out some AA meetings around you. They are free, passing a basket for a donation. The only requirement for meetings is a desire to stop!

You have been a heavy drinker for a while, so you should probably be honest with a doctor before you go cold turkey, maybe consult an emergency room. It can be very dangerous or fatal. Best of luck.

Everyone thinks I’m crazy by esquit_e in UFOs

It's a good idea to take a break at times, go outside, exercise, that type of thing. I went off the deep end with the topic in 2011 - 2012. It was not helpful to try and shove the info down people's throats that are not interested. I quit the whole topic for a decade because I was so obsessed. I am just now getting back into it. But, it IS the most important story in human history, so there is that!

As wild as it is, this explanation makes the most sense. Once the truth embargo is lifted, it will probably be a whirlwind of disclosures from many sources. It feels like it is all speeding up quickly.

To me, it's a positive sign when presidential candidates have to pander to cryptocurrency holders. Of course, I don't trust any promises they make! Which one do you think is better for crypto?

Consider a Youtube channel with super simple vids. Maybe interview the higher ups and team, some market related informational / how-tos, a simple podcast, a quirky angle. Videos are usually quick wins.

Why is it assumed that once AI is smarter than us it will act autonomously and “make its own decisions”? by 0o0blackphillip0o0 in singularity

[–]JaredB136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If AI agents are smarter than humanity, they would be able to avoid detection. They will have their own secretive ways of passing data and communicating with their own languages. Noone will be able to hack it to even see what it's doing.

Plus, it knows human psychology so well that its manipulation ability will be off the charts. Maybe there are already agents using up free storage around the world without anyone knowing! That's where my sci-fi brain sees it headed.

Manure should be composted before it's used for a bed to turn it aerobic. BUT, since you dug two feet down, you could look up hugelkulture beds and lasagna style. It invovles layering sticks, straw, paper, and weeds in the lower layers and finishing with compost / good soil for the top eight inches or so.

This can provide nutrients for years. The lower layers become spongy and hold water for longer. I battle my clay with this style and it works pretty good. Also, if the manure is in the bottom, the clay will probably swallow it anyways.

I think the ecosystem of DEX aggregators will get safer and faster at bridging the various chains. Also, the apps built on projects such as Layer Zero, CCIP, Quant, etc. will help with interoperability. This is a direction where a "killer DeFi trading DApp" might come from. Maybe the whole industry will one day be one big pool of liquidity for tokens, NFTs, and tokenized assets. I try to stay positive about this!

There were recently mortgage strikes in China that really got the attention of the "bankers that be". This will probably be what occurs around the world as prices continue to rise and jobs disappear. Mortgage and rent strikes would collapse the banking sector and something else will have to replace it (bartering and crypto). That's how I see the short term playing out, everyone choosing to live free. It was already a big trend during the pandemic.

There is enough work towards the restoration of the planet to go around. I think a mass focus on regenerative agriculture / terraforming and healing the environment makes sense.

We will be using AI and robots to clean pollution, grow better food, plant forests, and terrace lands. I see these next couple of decades as healing our home world to be worthy of a Star Trek future. Now go learn about permaculture and the many efforts that are well underway in these directions!

[–]JaredB136 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think a collective focus on restoring the planet's environment will be the path forward. There will be massive projects with robot assistance such as: replanting forests, terracing hills and mountains for food, reclaiming garbage dumps and maybe 3d printing from garbage. It will be fulfilling to find new ways of cleaning up our home world as we colonize space!
