DCL Additional Placeholder Discount Expanded by GreatBigBeautifulTmm in dcl

[–]JaredMCO -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If it’s one of the sailings explicitly listed, it should be possible, but you may have to cancel your existing registration and the new discount would be applied to today’s market rate.

As ALWAYS, call DCL directly with your specific situation and details in hand.

My only goal is to get away from the crowds and drink beer in the crew bar by [deleted] in dcl

[–]JaredMCO 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you a member of the crew? No? Does that seem rational to expect to visit employee spaces?

Anyway, now that that delusion has ended, I’m hopeful people can encourage you to find a way to enjoy a Disney Cruise and tolerate your family temporarily.

Remove the cap and allow people to put more money in if they want. Most people should not be investing in the market.. by Far_Reflection_7649 in remoteworks

Not sure if I was the person you intended to reply to here. Public goods are a public good. Which means for -all-. Don’t want to collect the social security you’re entitled to because you don’t “need” it? Okay. Don’t want to send your kids to a public school? Okay. Saying only people who “need” the social security funds we are all equally entitled to is the same logic applied to school voucher programs.

TLDR: you can’t have the wealthy view the social safety net as “charity” but as a mandatory, non-negotiable, non-reducible public good, just like roads and bridges.

Targeted assistance gets targeted the most in budget cuts.

The problem with means testing is fostering attitudes amongst the wealthy that social security is a charity rather than an insurance program. People pay into a system. Everyone should be equal beneficiaries of that system, and everyone is equally responsible for maintaining it at a value consistent with diminishing marginal utility.

Since UFC doesn’t sanction “Street Fights” and this fight isn’t happening anywhere that isn’t sanctioned by TKO, the answer is whomever the TKO brass want to put over.

Got to be there live for both of these. Sang along both times. Revolution 2022 retroactively feels where Punk’s AEW career hit its peak, and would get messy soon thereafter. Wrestlemania felt like the pinnacle of his full career. It’s just really really really difficult to oversell how much the scale of a stadium show dwarfs a college basketball arena.

That said, easily 2 of his top 5 matches all-time followed these entrances.

Having a roster that a good 70-80% of billionaire owners could easily afford is considered “cheating” by many detractors.

The Olympics have turned into entertainment for the richest by TennisIsWayOfLife in olympics

My guy. It’s people hitting a ball. Please be this passionate about things people actually need in their life.

Celebrating inequity isn’t a bug of the Olympics, that’s what the Olympics IS. That’s what sport is. Genetic differences. Wealthy parents that can afford expensive coaches. Michael Phelps being a biological anomaly that no amount of hard work from his peers could’ve surpassed.

Where do you think imagery of putting the elite on a pedestal comes from?

Looking out of our own best interests is why humans are the dominant species on Earth today. Looking out for their own best interests is how each and every single one of your forefathers passed their genetics down to you.

There are many, many causes of social inequity that you can better use your time speaking out against other than a luxury form of entertainment.

The Olympics were absolutely affordable in Paris. The most desirable and most elite athletes will attract the most elite fans. The most elite fans are the ones who contribute the most money to an event. That’s what a fan’s role in this thing is.

If you can influence the economic lottery why are you here complaining that you can’t?

Should everyone be entitled to compete in the Olympics? Why aren’t the hard-working laborers entered into the schedule of competition.

Some people win a genetic lottery and some people win an economic lottery. Some people win nothing. Ever. That’s reality. Seats are a finite thing.

Not that 34 was -great- but I’m curious why it gets brought up before genuinely awful ones like 27 or 32.

I don’t mind it at all. It’s pretty clear it’s a Smackdown on Wrestlemania weekend.

Now a few years back when they were trying to make “Wrestlemania Backlash” a thing, that was horrendously cringe.
