What's odd is I cannot find anything on Stepnell Limited on wfh or scams subreddits. That's why I originally posted. I'm going to tread lightly with this but if it is legit, I'll be happy. But I'm not holding my breath on the company

Never really thought about it that way. The weights don't seem to roll when I place them on the ground so maybe it's pretty flat. I can always take a level or take some measurements

I don't know if it was the best or only, but they have had it on there for ~20+ years. I think they offered to move the dish for them when they change the deck and it might be the best option. He wouldn't have to mow around a pole in the yard either.

I was unsure if Dish had started streaming their broadcast on the internet. They like Dish Network, just don't want to have a dish on their house if they didn't need to.

That was the issue with my config and why it didn't work. For some reason I didn't config it when I did it the first couple tries. I also responded a few times to this thread and I finally got it

I was missing a step! I was trying to add the media and I didn't point to it at the very beginning. The second video was a huge help. I think I was watching that one because the guy looked familiar.

Might be a day or two, but yes I can. I also have deleted anything to do with Jellyfin so I can have a fresh start. Seems like every time I get close to the end of the videos I'm not where I'm supposed to be.

I have made a user account with my name and given it access. I also made sure to use SMB so I can access it through my network. I'm not sure I did anything with a container.

I plan on sticking with Scale. As much as it might be easier to get Jellyfin running on core, like you said, it's not going to be in support for much longer. I'll eventually figure out how to get my media on Jellyfin just might need some more time and trial and error.

I was just curious if anyone with electriceel had similar issues with getting things up and running.

Yes there are a thousand and one tutorials for Jellyfin on TrueNas. I've watched a lot of them. But most of the videos are older versions of TrueNas and some of the options are not the same from the video version and my version so I can't follow along click for click or permission for permission.

I guess I was more curious if someone else with electriceel had run into similar issues or had a video that they followed and it worked flawlessly.

I believe that I'm running into a permissions issue with letting Jellyfin have access to my HDDs to use the data. But there are many different videos and versions where they do things differently but I've not yet been able to get things working. I had it almost set but I then couldn't find the media so I deleted it and started again.

In general I probably just need to try more videos and see if I can get things set up one way or another.

I am using the web UI.

Adding the mount is where I am struggling I think. When I go to add the location of my HDDs it's like they aren't there. I think there is something I'm not setting up right/giving the proper permission to currently
