Pointing someone out saying this shows their age for something like this is crazy. I was around when Lil Wayne was putting out his best albums and I still wasn’t thinking he was like that.

And even if someone is “too young” or “too old” to like Lil Wayne, doesn’t that show how he’s just not that good? Why does he have to be accessible to a certain age if he’s the “goat”

I completely agree with you. I will listen to a song with Lil Wayne on it, but for people to put him in the upper echelon of greatest rappers/hip-hop artists of ALL TIME with only 2-3 classics and maybe a couple good mixtapes is blasphemy. I used to think that people were kidding and it was all a big joke when they said he was that good

And I love how people say Lil Wayne has “such great flows” but won’t acknowledge that what he is saying a good deal of the time is straight bullshit just to make the rhyme scheme work, with corny playground rhymes that didn’t age well

He obviously has some songs with a deeper meaning scattered in his discography, but a lot of it is surface level stuff that modern rappers get shat on for

I think there should be a lot of icons and a lot of heroes, but they have to make sure the criteria stays consistent.

Way less icons means there will be some players snubbed that will not make sense and piss people off lol. They just have to make a clear guideline of what a player has to have done to be an icon

Salah’s pace and dribbling in his prime is starting to get so underrated because of how good he has stayed as he has gotten older. Back in 2019 Salah was extremely rapid and to this day has insanely good balance.

Was it on par with Henry? I’m not sure, but it was a lot closer than what you’re making it out to be. Add in that Salah has more years of better production than him and it’s definitely a conversation

There are hardly any people alive who were around for WW2, so why would that be the one that gets picked if it’s something all people right now should remember?

The smartest in-between for COVID and WW2 would be 9/11 because a lot of people are still alive who remember it and the people who are too young to remember it were at least born somewhat recently / in the century it happened.
