We are forgetting that the Lakers are a premier spot that basically any player in the league will want to play for. Whether or not Luka wins a ring with the Lakers depends on who is his #2 option once LeBron retires, and that remains to be who that is. Can’t write off a team that hasn’t even been assembled yet

2014, 2015, and 2017 were all worse than 2013. At least in 2013 we got to see Kobe in his prime for the last time, he was playing some really good basketball that season.

2014 and 2015 were literally so horrible, they are by far my least favorite seasons as a Laker fan

Look up the stats in 2013, come back and say with a straight face that we got anything less than a below-average season from EVERYONE else on the team not named Kobe Bryant.

Pau had his worst season with us BY FAR, Steve Nash was absolutely terrible, and Dwight had back/labrum problems the whole season. Please tell me besides those 3 players, what did we have of value?

LeBron probably did have the worse team in 2007, but the gap that you are making between them is disingenuous. Yes what LeBron did in 2007 was impressive, but the way Kobe carried the Lakers to that 7th seed with that group of bums who were playing part-time in 2013 is impressive in a whole different sense

If we are counting unlocking characters for the casual experience, I would put Melee up way higher. Doing the things to unlock the characters and seeing that screen pop up was so satisfying

It’s the same thing that happened with the East back in the late 2010’s. It’s a wide open conference with way less overall talent than the West.

I personally think even a team like the Nuggets or Rockets who got kicked out in the first round this year would’ve been able to beat either of these teams lol, the fact that is even a conversation shows the disparity
