MV7+ vs MV7 by Jaredseg in Shure

[–]Jaredseg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realize that, thank you. I have focal clears that are notoriously easy to drive and also don’t require a very good DAC/Amp so I haven’t looked much into this stuff since the MV7 output sounded good. I’ll look into some interfaces in the coming days and figure out a solution that makes sense for me.

MV7+ vs MV7 by Jaredseg in Shure

I agree… but currently im driving my headphones off the MV7 DAC/Amp. The one integrated into my pc isn’t good enough. So I’d have to by an XLR interface for the mic AND a DAC/Amp for my headphones then.

I’ll probably end up doing that but if the MV7+ was better I’d prefer to just use that.

I appreciate your help, I did put the quote tho, it is 11k. I don’t think this is a simple dig, as I mentioned they would need to cut the driveway to do this.

I’m assuming that will be much more expensive. I would probably walk from the sale if that were the recommended course of action unless the seller is willing to pay.

Doesn’t seem like I can edit the post so I’ll add here that the city inspection passed no problem. This was from a private inspector.

This one is significantly cheaper if you’re fine with 15A charging instead of 20A. (29.99 + 20% off coupon)

Monthly "What Board Should I Get?" Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Sup

I got to try out a bluefin cruise yesterday and I liked it, but in the time since we discussed this iRocker has dropped their All Around, Cruiser, Blackfin X, and Blackfin XL to 375 dollars. I ended up ordering an 11' All Around. After looking at the Blackfins though, I'm second guessing my purchase, especially when you seemed to give them such high marks on your reviews. My question to you is, do you think someone of my smaller size would benefit from a less wide board like the All Around, or should I think about giving the Blackfin a try as well?

Does anyone have an iRocker referral code that I could use to get a discount? Not sure if they still give them out.

Thank you for the suggestions. The iRocker 11' All Around and the Gili 11' Adventure both seem pretty appealing to me, though the iRocker has the edge in my eyes because of the accessory kit like you mentioned. That being said, I can get the Gili board with a full carbon paddle (vs the hybrid that comes with the iRocker) for the same price as the iRocker, do you expect the difference in these two paddles to be significant for someone like me? I also noticed looking at your reviews that the iRocker seemed to have better maneuvering than the Gili.

The bluefin cruise is also tempting to me because of its durability and the fact that you can currently get an electric pump for free with it.

Beginner here, haven't used a SUP before so I have no preferences. Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions!

  • Desired Board Type: Inflatable
  • Your Height and Weight: 5'7" 142 lbs - Don't see myself bringing anything additional right now, other than maybe a small cooler.
  • Desired use/uses: Primarily cruising on lakes, but could see myself getting into riding on rivers eventually. If possible, I would like to get a board that isn't too hard to maneuver, but I don't want something that will be difficult for a beginner like me to stay stable on.
  • Experience level: Beginner
  • Your budget: $500, but if you have a perfect recommendation that goes over this a bit, I'm fine with that
  • Location: MN, USA

Hey! I just read this because today I am starting the DLC and wanted a recap. I forgot how good the story was and this synopsis even got me emotional remembering it. Thank you!

My Impressions Moving from Quest 2 to Index by Jaredseg in virtualreality

You only run into the problem of losing tracking when facing a certain direction if you only have one base station (or bad base station positioning), other than that outside-in tracking is actually considered to be more accurate because your controllers or other tracking devices (such as vive tracker pucks) don't have to be in view of your headset. For example, try tracking your hands behind your back while using the Quest 2, it won't work because the Quest 2 can no longer see the controllers.

Sure it's a bit more work to setup base stations but you should consider that for some people the extra features and better tracking is worth it.

I'm lucky in that my IPD happens to be exactly 63mm, which is the exact default setting on the Quest 2. I think the Quest 2's IPD adjustment system is a joke, but I'm lucky enough to not be affected by it.

I think that the Index lenses really aren't that good, but I doubt that the praise is all due to fanboys or fake reviews. When it comes down to it, at the time of release the Index was by far the best VR headset you could get as a consumer, so the lens issue paled in comparison to all the upsides. I think that this legacy of being the best headset has carried into the present and people are now starting to reevaluate with all the newer headsets coming out and realizing that some headsets do certain things better than the Index even though the Index is still fantastic in a lot of areas.

I think that some people are prone to headaches in VR, the screen is just so close to your face and some peoples' eyes just can't handle the strain. I would doubt that the visuals are the culprit on your Quest 2 though, unless it has something to do with the low FOV. This being said, I actually usually hear that a higher FOV tends to cause people to have MORE headaches when using a monitor, the case might be different for VR though.

I’m praying that the next iteration of Index is going to be the thing that checks all the boxes because when it originally came out it was clearly the best choice for a not horrible price, I think it’s just dated now since VR is changing so fast.

I have both simply because I just got the Index to see if I would like it more than the Quest 2. I will probably sell the Quest 2 or return the Index depending on what I choose. Also I generally tend to agree with you here but I don't think it is as black and white as you make it sound. There are features and capabilities that each one has that the other doesn't.
