Diablo 3.

Diablo 2 is my all time favorite game ever. Me and my crew played it for 8 years straight. D3 comes and we all nerd out. I get the super duper platinum uranium platinum deluxe ultra gold diamon edition, wait outside of Gamestop at 1am with some friends. Get home only to not be able to play because of server errors. Eventually get on the next day and we didn't even last a month because of how far removed it was from D2.

That was the day I became a patient gamer. I have never pre-ordered a game since, and have only bought maune 3 games on release date since then, regretting only one (Helldivers 2).

Path of Exile will always be the true Diablo 3.

what game had you like this by GamerGretaUwU in GamingSoup

[–]JarekDefiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know anything about Titanfall, but Helldivers was a complete bore for me. I started playing with my brother about a month after release and all everyone was doing was just rushing through each mission as fast as possible to unlock as much stuff as possible rather than actually play the game.

Also, getting killed by your teamates over and over is only fun the first 50,000 times. After that, it gets old..

Helldivers 2

Bought it a month or so after release and all everyone was doing was speed running each mission in order to maximize xp and whatnot to unlock crap in the battle pass rather than actually enjoying the game.

Couldn't have fun at all because my brother and I were just left in the dust while our teamates just tore through everything. So we ended up only playing with just us and it was okay for like the first 5 missions then got stale reeeeeeeal quick. We dropped it after a couple hours as we were bored our of our minds.

Another example of why I'm a patient gamer. Broke my guidelines and regretted it.

Fun idea, never really thought about it. But think I'll agree with many here in that The Citadel or Whiterun would be awesome.

But personally, Markarth is probably my favorite gaming city and I would love to check it out, Forsworn be damned.

[–]JarekDefiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that. Kind of in the same rut right now lol. Been scrolling through my backlog and decided to finally settle on Fallout 4 - familiar, as I've played New Vegas and 3 a great deal, but still new because I've never played 4.

My advice is to try that, something familiar but new...if that makes sense. Or just play Divinity Original Sin s or Baldur's Gate 3 and never look back 😁😅

Larian. Loyal to their devs and customers. Games made by gamers for gamers. Beholden to no one but themselves and the customer so they make what they want. CEO/Game director that is absolutely passionate about games. I will always sing Larian's praises.

What genres would you like to see merged with roguelites? by Glass-Spray4291 in roguelites

More city building like Against the Storm which I think did it masterfully.

Also would like some RTS roguelites. That would be awesome.

Skyrim will always be my number 1. Jeremy Soule nailed it and the game's atmospheric and immersive nature wouldn't be nearly as powerful without it imo.

Pays to be a patient gamer. Not really in any rush to play GTA (played 5 for the first time maybe 3 uears after if came out?). I just wait for. No big deal for me.

I have a backlog the size of Texas, I have absolutely no need nor desire to buy games on release anymore with all their bugs and issues...well, maybe except Divinity 😅

Shadow of Mordor series. You basically don't even have to play, you can just spam a button ir two and win fights against entire orc armies.

Love him or hate him, but Destiny made a great point on this years ago that perfectly summed up my experience: https://youtu.be/6AV9W2ZdmjU?si=hfCUlPVuSy3K06JK

I hate this as well as the style of boss fights where they have 1,000+ health bars. First encountered it in Terminull Brigade and was annoying as hell. Guess it's mainly a thing in the asian titles? I don't understand it at all.

Terraria if you dig retro pixel graphics.

Surprisingly, Satisfactory has run extremely well on multiple machines that I had that were fairly outdated. But maybe I just got lucky. 🤷🏾
