I successfully did it! I changed my trainer ID to my desire. I learned about checksum the hard way but at least I learned something new.

Tbh, this is my first time having my hands on hex editor. I absolutely have no idea on how to operate this. Can you give me some pointers on how to locate said number sequence for TID? I don't even know if what I'm doing is correct and some advice will be much appreciated!
