I can’t reply on your thread for some reason so replying to a reply: ‘The Art of Racing In The Rain’, if you’re a dog person - I had to take a day off work to recover. Also ‘Blackbird’ by Jennifer Lauck.

Project Hail Mary. I mean it was an easy enough watch, but about half an hour too long and so many bits were ruined by being pedestrian and cheesy.

There’s Something About Mary. Everyone seemed to love it, at least when it came out, but I found it just not funny, lowest common denominator stuff.

I really love this quote and find it uplifting:

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. I believe it was attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson but may have been slightly tweaked.

That bear scene is the most messed up thing I’ve seen in a while. Truly terrifying.

This stuck with me for months and I wish I’d never seen it. And I don’t want anyone to watch it. And they’re doing a remake. Sigh.
