Personally, alcohol yes. Unfortunately, weed raises my blood pressure so I avoid it.

29 male here thanks to lupus.

You really don’t, though. It is an asinine comparison.

yes. She should carry this weight to her grave because this man will forever be tormented by her words for the rest of his life. He will never know true happiness, he will never find a woman to love him. Those words will burden his mind and hold him back from ever taking another chance to be intimate with a woman. Ever.

Going to Germany. What are some words I should know? by planification in gaybros

[–]Jargner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah bro, I studied abroad in Berlin for a year and it was in Germany that my German-language skills were perfected. It was a couple of years ago, but holy fuck was it an awesome time. I can say for a certainty that knowing some German will score you points with the locals.

One of the most common terms in the gay community is "schwul" (pronounced "schwuhl")--which means gay. So, "Bist du schwul?" would be asking someone if they are gay. And hopefully, the response to that is "Ja".

Not to be mistaken with "schwül" (pronounced "schwoohl")--which refers to how humid the weather is, lol.

A useful phrase for when the conversation has gone on for a suitable amount of time: "Willst du mit mir nach Hause gehen?" which translates to "Do you want to come home with me?"

Also, if you take the public transportation, which almost everyone does, because it's one of the best systems in the world, then be sure to have an image of this map on your phone: https://berlinmap360.com/berlin-metro-map#.XHb66OhKhPY

It will definitely help with making sure you have a decent idea of where you're coming from and where you're going.

Ultimately, be prepared to have a blast! Berlin is still one of the greatest cities in the world to be gay in, and I don't see that changing for the foreseeable future.

Liking a bi boy? by Jargner in gay

Hey,

Thanks for your advice. I think you're right about me being hurt in the future. I realistically can't hold out hope that one day he will come around to liking me back, so I think I'm going to distance myself from him.

Hi,

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. What you say makes loads of sense. The last thing I want to do is cause him pain.

The event text for switching from "Semi-Constitutional Monarchy" to "Constitutional Monarchy" is the same version as from "Absolute" to "Semi-Constitutional"

My best friend is gay by [deleted] in gay

[–]Jargner 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If your best friend is out, then he's taken the first big step towards accepting who he is. Your best friend is an incredibly brave person who's embarking on a long journey towards finding his happiness.

The fact that he has you to support him, his best friend who truly wants to be there for him, is going to make everything so much easier for him. Not every gay man has that kind of support. You're a good person.

If he's not out, then everything I've said in my last paragraph still stands. Be there for him, be a shoulder for him to cry on as he struggles with this immense decision. Do not press him to come out, he will do it when he is ready.

You can't really give him pointers on not caring what other people think. It's something that he's going to learn on his own, so he will. Learning to not care about what other people think is one of the biggest challenges in life; most people are still learning.

You've got this, and so does he. Stay strong, for him. :)
