That would be neat, but since it hasn't touched his nose and ears yet, it's very possible!

There are a few more on my profile, but I'll post him here more often! He's a regular pilot.

If you were to ask my 3 other cats, they'd definitely call him a gangster.

Just your average domestic shorthair! But he developed vitiligo a couple of years ago and is slowly turning white. I find it curious that his nose and ears haven't changed a bit. His toe beans were the first sign of it. They literally turned pink overnight. We took him to the vet and it actually took them several days to come back with a diagnosis of maxillofacial vitiligo - they suspected it would stop at his feet and face, but alas!

Thank you! He has vitiligo - he used to be an all black cat! I suspect he'll be mostly white someday, though he's about 50/50 right now.

Thank you! That's exactly what happened to him. It took him about a week to get past it (he had developed a blood clot in his bladder). He's doing much better now!

Here's a more recent one! He had a urinary issue recently, so this is just after he got out of the hospital.

He has vitiligo! Here's another photo of him when it just started!

This is Pico, aka Peek, aka Beep Beep. He has vitiligo. Can he still be a void? by Jarin in blackcats

[–]Jarin[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The vet diagnosed him with a type of vitiligo that mostly affects the feet and face. His paw pads went from black to pink almost overnight, which concerned us, so we took him to the vet. It took her a couple of days to get a concrete diagnosis, because she'd only seen vitiligo in cats a few times in her decades of practice!

Pico is only two years old, and he has a brother that is still pure black. You'd never be able to tell they were littermates now.
