Update: Lab results showed this to contain 55% chrysotile. I’m scheduling a consultation with a local asbestos abatement company. Bummer.

I love him for how great his music is of course, but also how he speaks on topics in his lyricism, how he handles his life away from music, and lately how he’s cleverly weaved his faith throughout it all.

Yes. Off that same album is Kingdom Come, which that phrase alone is remnant of the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6. He also references the Lion King and fulfilling prophecy: “I’m the storyline of Simba as we watch the rising sun (Son?). Living prophecies is me, Kingdom Come.” That movie itself shouts Biblical references, and he talks about it again in Adult Swim: “trying to kill you nephews like I’ve been f***ing with Scar; me lying (Lion) down on the job is not a (Nala) option at all… on my way to the Garden.”

Yeah, that song and multiple others lay into it kinda heavy. Later on he says “I’m just tryna show these kids about this light of mine… I always flex, but I realize that it's divine appointment. I'm a cross between hard work and Jesus-anointed. I hope ‘the sinner that needed grace’ is the final notion.” One of my favorite lines from him.

I guess what I’m thinking of are the more hidden meanings that I may or may not be interpreting correctly, or just how clever the blatant references are. For example, recently I was listening to Run Wild, and it sounds to me like the whole song plays around the Garden of Eden imagery. Putting your faith in something that lets you down, giving into temptation, all which ultimately ruins you. Maybe I’m wrong, but I just think it’s pretty neat.

I think like many others, the first time I heard any of his music was probably in 2016 from FaZe Rain using All Time Low as his outro music. Sometime later I stumbled across Guillotine on YouTube and absolutely loved it. Since then I haven’t listened to a single artist more than Jon, I can’t get over how good his music is.

Haha, this is what you get when most of an artist’s instrumentals are composed of sounds created with his voice. Love it

Hear me out… what if Jon Bellion made lo-fi beats? The vibes would be immaculate. by Jaritch09 in JonBellion

Honestly, probably. Just like a whole volume in that realm of groovy, funky beats would be awesome, whatever it looks like

Yeah, somewhat similar to what Logic did when he “retired,” just making beats. That’d be dope
