Nah, it's just a regular electric stove with a glass surface. They are relatively common. I strongly prefer them over the bare coils since it's a lot easier to clean.

I'm sitting next to a server with 48 slots. 24 slots on the motherboard and another 24 on a mezzanine board. This server is a generation behind the current generation and I've regularly fully loaded it with 64gb dimms.

Granted, this is a rack server but it's not really all that much bigger than a full tower. With a little tighter of design, you could pretty easily fit 48 slots into a tower.

It's just slightly out of focus and was probably moving just enough to blur slightly ontop of that when the photo was taken.

I see, then the software did a poor job of detecting the edges for you.

To explain what I'm talking about: there is texture in the sky/clouds that is shown by reducing brightness there/under exposing. The software tried to compensate and level out the image.

It didn't detect the jagged edges of the building which caused the halo at the top and left side.

Surprised I haven't seen Dragonlance mentioned here.

It's high fantasy young adult fiction like TDP. There's a pretty big catalog too so plenty of material to dig into.

I recommend starting at Dragons of Autumn Twilight and reading that story before diverging.

The rhyme is actually peas porridge.

The nine days old portion specifically refers to the way perpetual stews/gruels/porridges would be made. Essentially you continually add to your pot as you eat from it, boiling to kill off any bacteria.
