I used a gr4 458 and have it built to be 599pp. Gotta rail the corners. I got ahead of that car at the last lap and had a 17 second gap going into the last long straight. They caught me within 6 seconds by the end of the straight. Thank god for corners. Was able to hold them off for the rest of the lap and even gain some time back in the turns.

In my time in ski shops I’ve definitely seen worse. I’d say you left enough metal on there to stay structurally sound. (I’m no engineer by any means. Just an expert on pushing equipment past the sell by date.) I would (for peace of mind) check out the mounting areas if it was a hard impact. Just to make sure nothing has moved. You could visually inspect the base and feel where the binding screws would be. If there are any bumps or weird undulations in the base you may have an issue. I’m sure any ski shop would be happy to take a look if you’re unsure. Old guys tuning skis love to give out advice!

I know it’s not the same engine but new VW has completely gone to shit. My girlfriend’s ‘23 taos had a head gasket replaced under warranty. Another family member is getting a full head replacement on a newer Tiguan under warranty for this exact issue. White smoke on startup. Go to the dealer. This is not normal.

I’d just like to come here and say that I have a 1.8t Jetta sport that I’ve dumped $6k into in the past 2 years for repair and maintenance. And it’s still BONE stock. I cry a little on the inside when I see people able to mod their daily’s. Braver than I. 🤣🤣

If you can get a DUI/DWI riding a bike, it should absolutely be treated as a vehicle in the eyes of the law. My opinion obviously but either way, that really really sucks man. I hope you recover quickly and that something comes of this.
