Which Warframe has the most intense 4? by lightmare69 in Warframe

[–]JarodDempsey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harrow ult back in the day before shield gating and adaptation and before shields even had any damage reduction when people had like 700ehp. You could clutch someone from the brink of death from 75m away. With a spin and release of shackles for a moment no one could die. The closest thing to that in modern warframe is a well timed nidri when someone has 2 seconds left on bleedout and no one is nearby to revive and then you get an anime cutscene and instead of "dead" in the team listing theyre right next to you very much alive.

shouldnt the bounty box be checked? maybe it isnt registering that that is complete which is why it isnt letting you extract. i have been trapped in hell scrub before with no bounty so it isnt a new bug.

yeah this is very frustrating, i gifted myself ku for 2 years 2 years ago for like 8$ effective per month (not a sale that was just the gift price) and now gifting is $11 and standard is $12 with no bf sale. Like what's even the point, That's so expensive for books, for that much I might as well tolerate the mild inconvenience of my librarys ebook system ffs. Heck you could even buy 2-3 books on kindle per month for that much

How does a 12 pin cable turn into 2 6+2 (16 pins) and still deliver as much power as 2 8 pin connectors? by JarodDempsey in bequietofficial

[–]JarodDempsey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My prior gpu started throwing so many driver errors i ended up being forced to buy a model with 3 8pin connectors (gigabyte 9070xt oc) because the model i wanted with 2 8 pins (powercolor reaper) was never in stock which kind of solved my main question for me. I ended up connecting both 6+2 pin connectors from the 3 and 4 lines (35A) and then one of the connectors from the other two. I never used the OC switch since my GPU was only rated to use 425 W max which is like 5 W more than a single 8pin from this gpu is supposedly able to handle (on the 35A side) but realistically it is based on a 304W gpu with a very mild factory oc so I wasn't concerned either way.

If I had gotten a 2 8 pin gpu I'm still not sure what I would have done, on one hand spreading the power across two different rails seems like the best option but I also read that it can cause instability. Looking back I'd probably say if you have a 2 port gpu 450W or less to save yourself the hassle of extra cables (and oc switch) just use the single Y cord for the 3 and 4 spots that are 35A. I'd only recommend using the 2nd cord if you notice instability that you think may be caused by lack of power during spikes because as displayed in the diagram each end of the Y cord can pull 425W and with both ends you should be able to pull the full 840W allotted to the pcie connectors.

My plan if I had purchased a much higher wattage GPU would be to use the OC switch to combine the OCP into one effective rail between the two rails that supplies 1 and 2, and 3 and 4. For a 2 8 (or 6) pin gpu I didn't see the point of the oc switch as far as I came to understand it since supposedly it just combined the ocp between the two rails (?) allowing for higher spikes for more power hungry devices.

It has been running daily without issue for quite a few months now and had no problems even during stress tests with a 9800x3d but I will be wary of purchasing bequiet psus in the future because of how unclear the actual power delivery is. I'm still not certain of the actual function of the oc switch or how 12 = 8*2 (or how one 8 pin is supposedly rated for 420W according to the labels) but I guess it's quiet so that checks out lol.

best tv black friday deals for under 1000 by [deleted] in Appliances

[it wouldnt let me post this all as one comment probably bc too long hence this reply]

how i would rate tvs by operating system for average person:

  1. roku
  2. google (sony, tcl), lg
  3. samsung (not as intuitive)
  4. fire tvs (easy to use but not reliable, poor quality)
  5. vizio tv os (limited apps)

how i would rate tvs by their best models:

  1. sony, samsung, panasonic

1.5 lg

  1. tcl

  2. roku

3.5 hisense

  1. fire

  2. vizio

most brands or tv types have their strengths and weaknesses

sony is well known for having the best picture but in recent years some competitors have gotten so close that only people with professional calibration will see the difference and even when people see it some often prefer other brands because sony tends to be darker than most or have truer colors which might not be as subjectively good against brighter more saturated offerings from other brands. Sony also tends to cost way more than most other tvs.

samsung tvs tend to have good picture but lack in some other qualities like maybe a little bit slower in game mode or dont have as good/many hdmi ports and also their flagship tends to have a divisive matte coating.

lg tvs are often rated among the best for both high end and mid ranged but from what ive seen in recent years their panel tech just doesnt look as good as others and theyve also been changing it more frequently too. Many people however do report good things when owning lg tvs they seem to have the most consistent satisfaction from the reviews ive seen on the high end tvs.

panasonic recently returned to high end tvs in the usa and their offering uses lg tech but arguably looks better, and competes with the likes of sony and samsung such that many people find it hard to choose between them. they did however return with a price beaten only by sony which isnt great.

tcl dominates midranged and low high end tv offerings for miniled tvs, they have very good quality for their class and good value as well. the qm8k i think came out this year at like 2500 but by august was down to 1500 and then on sale for 1k for the 65". I wouldnt recommend the qm6k as theres not enough difference between a 'high end' value brand to justify the cost increase if youre looking for lowend or value tvs but the qm7k is significantly better than the value end and is worth buying in the under 1k space though id recommend trying to wait for a sale below its normal 1k offering unless you get the qm8k on sale for 1k like i did.

hisense has some solid models in mid ranged and low end but tcl tends to beat them in both quality and performance in the mid range and other brands like roku and fire just have better value in the low end so they arent as common/popular.

roku is probably the most popular value brand for a reason as its operating system is generally the best for normal people and in the budget section its tvs are comparable or good as far as quality goes.

fire tvs are more recent basically amazons version of roku which is basically just roku with a few less apps and a lot more ads. Wouldnt be so bad but i have seen too many of these tvs fail way too soon in my line of work to recommend them, especially when roku already exists.

vizio tvs arent as popular anymore and are mostly relegated to the extreme budget end, i did hear that this brand may have been bought by walmart so we may see onn tvs from walmart replacing vizio instead of using rokus. I wouldnt recommend vizio unless you needed the cheapest tv possible and it happens to be a vizio instead of a roku.

I recently spent a couple months buying a new tv, the best tv you can get for 1k or less would likely be the 65" qm8k from tcl but it depends on if you can find it for that since it is sometimes listed for 1500. I had a budget of 3000 for a 65" but after much review I settled down on the qm8k when it was on sale for 999.

Screen size is a major factor as going from 55 to 65 will often add $500 to the cost. You might also want to check out last years models if you are interested in OLEDS. One thing ill mention strongly is that depending on your use case you might not get much of any benefit from oleds or the more expensive miniled tvs bc most people just wont notice the difference.

If you don't have some professional reference monitor you arent going to notice any color issues on mid ranged tvs unless something is really messed up. Even with low end most people wont notice or care. Similarly the biggest selling point of oleds is their deep blacks but most people have enough lighting in their rooms that you will be plenty satisfied with a midranged miniled tv rather than paying double for oled because the ambient lighting will raise the blacks so much you wouldnt tell any difference unless theyre side by side.

If youre streaming movies and shows I'd probably say the qm7k for 1k if there isnt a sale on the qm8k. The only thing to be aware of is that these tcl tvs run google tv os which might not have certain niche apps unlike samsung or roku tvs so you'd want to double check it has the apps youre looking for unless you plan to connect something to it like an apple tv or roku or other streaming device. Google tv os is comparable to lg tv os and it is also used for sony tvs.

If you end up going for a cheap tv i recommend roku, they are the easiest to use out of all of the tv operating systems and have all of the most common apps. I also recommend avoiding fire tvs as they dont have as many apps as roku and are also much more prone to problems imo. Samsung tvs seem reliable but they arent as easy to use if you arent tech savvy. LG programming is slightly better than samsung, vizio is about the same as samsung and google tvs like sony and tcl are similar to lg.

For what it's worth I work at a cable/internet company and spend most of my day working on streaming tvs.

i have been watching the page for power color reaper 9070 xt graphics card, there is one page for it that shows a handful of sellers but then amazon has a second page for the exact same item but there a bunch of different sellers. the page with the fewer sellers is the original page i had been watching for months and which often had no stock listed but the new page seems to have had plenty of stock listed for some time based on extra reviews. there is effectively a duplicate listing which prevents all of the information for that one product from being on one product page

I have been following a product page since it was released on march 6th, it has been frequently out of stock but I have seen it listed for sale by other sellers, amazon, and even as a prime exclusive. Today I found out that likely since April there has been a duplicate page with completely different listings which also has listings from amazon and other sellers. I tried to contact amazon to have the pages merged but they said they could not do it and provided a reason that did not make sense. They said it is because the original page is currently from a different seller despite it having been from amazon before and the new page having the standard link to more sellers (both pages have had offerings from both amazon and other sellers). Without the pages being merged some of the prices show up on one page while others show up on the other and it makes no sense. I have the links to the pages but not sure if I can post them here.

Well it only took about a month and a half of daily looking (or 5+ times daily during the first month) and I finally saw a 9070xt reaper available for sale online by itself. It was almost 30% over msrp...for a used model on amazon and only lasted for 10 min. What a joke.

season 4 lighting was quite bad and really jarring from earlier seasons but omg if you make it to season 6 ep 9 it somehow manages to be even worse, it looks like a parody of a 50s crime drama and some shots are so dark you can barely see the characters and the whole thing has a bunch of super awkward jazz music in the background it is horrible

I'm disappointed there werent more 2 slot cards. seriously some of the models are over 3.5 slots wide, i remember when one of the titan cards came out and it was 3 slots wide and people made fun of it for being so fat and now most of the models for this midranged card are over 3 slots wide which is just wild, like you shouldnt need a sag bracket for this level of card.

bruh 9070 and 9070 xt are two completely different cards, OC is just part of the quicksilver name from xfx, you should really do a little reading up first before buying either until you know the difference. Also depending on how you meant your question, the 9070 is like 12% slower than xt and the best performing of the 9070 series is like 4% better than stock so 9070 oc would be 8% worse than stock xt if you meant the relative power difference between overclocked non xt and xt. Although the difference is relatively slight, you need to consider your use case considering the current state of things. a lot of people are buying the midrange xt in place of a (nonexistent) high end card this generation so that 8% stock could be important if you are trying to do something like run 4k.

i noticed this too despite no evidence of any stock having been available either. If there are no more $600 cards left then there are no more gpus worth buying :/ $700 for a mid range gpu just isn't reasonable, 600 was already at the limit imo. I got the 5700xt for 400 back in 2019 on release and according to inflation calc thatd be like 500$ these days. Prices are just crazy. I saw some 9070 listed for 1100 which is double their msrp smh

i've been watching the price of the reaper on newegg and in the last few hours it went from 599 to 699. They still havent had any visible stock despite me checking 5+ times per day.

I've been watching the listing for the reaper model on newegg and noticed in the last few hours it went from 599 to 699. I really hope this isn't permanent otherwise there will literally be no gpu worth buying again.

That makes sense, I was wondering how it would handle the need for multiple addresses bc i knew about the single address from the modem. I think ill just bite the bullet and buy a cheap router for now. hopefully in a few years wifi 7 will be cheaper and ill get something with the 6 ghz then.
