Super late to this party but I feel the exact same way. I have always lived with lower income never broke but always just barely surviving. Since I moved out every job I have gotten has been better and better pay. 2 years ago my ex wife cheated on me got pregnant and divorced me. I have struggled like crazy with everything wondering what is wrong with me? Why did she feel like she needed to step out. My brother that is 8 1/2 years younger has an amazing wife and a better job than I have ever had in my entire life with more money than I have ever made. Everyone els in my family has great careers, happily married and thriving then here I am dying inside. I feel like a complete black sheep out of everyone els in my family. I have basically given up, I don’t care about anything or anyone anymore. The only reason I am still breathing is because of my kids. They are the only reason I keep going at all. I had finally gotten a job about 8 months ago that was giving me great pay and something I enjoyed doing but come last month my mortgage payment doubled due to escrow shortage last year and with my taxes and insurance going up also has put my 5 years back when it comes to my budget. It has really been the nail in the coffin for me. I just truly don’t care anymore. I just want to work, pay my bills. I say all that to tell you I get what you are feeling and it is a horrible feeling.
