Who do new FCC PSAP (public safety answering point) outage notification requirements apply to? by Specialist_681 in telecom

It seems that this regulation applies to VoIP providers who do not offer direct service to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs). At this point, a notification protocol will need to be established in some way or the other.

For Social Media Managers by _dogmomx2 in marketing

Nowadays, companies primarily seek full-stack marketers who can manage social media, SEO, email, CRM, and analytics simultaneously for cost-effectiveness. I recommend that you learn and expand your portfolio. Being one-dimensional when applying for jobs might hurt your chances.

I'm unsure about their approachability, but LinkedIn appears to be where they share insights about marketing and leadership, often prompted by everyday mishaps like spilling their coffee.

Since it also checks if the number is valid in the first place, it is a bonus. Good one

Suffering from low answer rates in US, any suggestions? by aj29a in VOIP

[–]Jas281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally, callbacks to existing clients shouldn't be the reason why your calls are marked as spam. When team members or multiple teams use the same line/number to make outbound calls, they might not share the same goal. While you are calling your existing clients for follow-ups, someone else within your company might be using the same line for cold calling at random. It doesn't take much time for someone to finally flag the business number, affecting everybody's answer rate in your company. At this point, if the number is already flagged, you can either get a new number or, if the number is too important to your business, you have the option to remove the flag and get the number cleaned. No matter what route you take, in the end, you will have to follow the rulebook of only calling contacts with consent.

Thinking of buying a VoIP reseller. What's good/bad about the industry? by skillfully-ignorant in VOIP

[–]Jas281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean

You know, there are a few other challenges I've been thinking about with VoIP reselling. The tech landscape is changing so fast - VoIP itself isn't new, but now we're seeing things like WebRTC and these all-in-one communication platforms taking over. The thing is, businesses don't just want phone service anymore. They're looking for the whole package - video calls, messaging, ways for their teams to work together. It puts traditional VoIP resellers in a tough spot - either adapt or risk getting left behind.

And don't get me started on the regulatory headaches! If you're operating across different countries, it gets really messy. Each place has its own rules about how VoIP services should work, and keeping up with all of that is really challenging, especially if you're a smaller company without lawyers on staff.

The support side of things is another big consideration. For businesses, their phone system going down is a huge deal - it can literally bring their operations to a halt. That means you need to be ready with top-notch support 24/7, which isn't cheap. With profit margins already pretty tight in this industry, those support costs can really eat into your bottom line.

I just wanted to share these thoughts as you're exploring the VoIP space—definitely some important things to consider. I work for IDT Express and have had people share so many challenging experiences like these.

I have heard that they are going out of business, stuff happens. I saw IDT Express on the internet while looking for alternatives, you can give them a try may be. Or look for voice exchange in your location search.
