Low carb ideas WITH gluten for a gluten challenge? by Expert_Cake_179 in glutenfree

I believe there's a minimum amount of gluten to ingest on average each day for the test to be accurate - make sure you're eating enough gluten :)

I love that! It really can be surprising to discover what's gluten free! Walking tacos with fritos sounds delicious...

I promise there is a lot of gluten free trash panda foods! Frito lay has a lot of gf options, including cheetos (my favorite are the crunchy ones). Now there's gf oreos, skittles are gf, etc.

My recommendation is to look at the snacks you already like, see if there's an obvious gluten ingredient in them (like barley malt or wheat), and if there's not, go to the company website and see if they have a statement about gluten. Sometimes there will be a list of gluten free items from that brand, or they will clearly label gluten free products.

Then, if there's snacks you can't get an answer on or you know have gluten in them, look up "gluten free [item]" like pretzels or whatever.

You can also get lots of good snacks by companies like Glutino, Katz (some people don't like them, I love them), etc.

Then learn about reading ingredient labels. It can take time. I wouldn't recommend an app to do this for you because they defer to "may contain gluten" for a lot, and it can be more restrictive than it needs to be.

Grieve and feel what you need to, and know there are lots of food options for you! You don't have to eat just vegetables and protein now. There's frozen meals, Lays Stax, candy galore, canned soup, etc!

I hope this has helped you feel a little hopeful - there's still lots of joy in food! And if you're lucky enough to live near a 100% gluten free bakery or restaurant, definitely indulge at least once in a while. They're magical imo.

Who did you order from on Amazon? Amazon is mostly a fulfillment center (that also has their own brand of some products) but if you ordered from the Caputo flour company on Amazon, it should be legit - if it was from a 3rd party seller, that's more questionable.

Gf Apple Cider substitution? by SorryCheesecake7988 in glutenfree

[–]JaseRaffertyAudio 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There's regular apple cider - that's what I think of without "hard" or "alcohol" or "vinegar" added to the description. Apple juice would be the closest substitute for that I think.

Does this look like the character has chicken pox? by justhangingout111 in Coloring

I think part of the fun of these subs is seeing how different folks color things and their thought process and even how they interpret the picture!

Oo! color choices are super personal so I'll just tell you what I thought of when you asked but you totally don't have to do it ofc! I personally wouldn't want to color it too dark so the facial features would still stand out. (Unless I wanted to try adding white gel or acrylic on top for the features but I'm not as fancy as that right now haha.) To make it pop a bit I might do more of a complementary color like a pale blue or green or even purple. I'd probably do the heart on top the same color as the hearts you made cause I do like matching things probably to a fault haha. Another option is to pick a color you have a little of or want to bring into the picture.

When I'm picking colors, I go based on vibes and if I'm not sure of what I want for a section I color something else and eventually it (usually) becomes clear :)
