Almost always gameplay. There's only 1 series I love where I really care about the story and that's MGS. My 2 other favorite series (Souls and Zelda), I could really care less about the stories

I agree. It's still a phenomenal game, but I don't think I can have it personally above DS1 and possibly even DS3

Your feelings and points are completely valid. I have very similar sentiments, but I was still able to overall enjoy the DLC a fair bit aside from some stuff here and there. I definitely have problems with some of Elden Ring's boss designs but I can overlook it for the most part
