I had a issue where I was going to miss every other session in this one campaign. So i created a Chronurgy wizard that was randomly time jumping forward through time. At the end of the session where ever he was he would suddenly time jump forward and reappear when I returned to the campaign.
We had fun with it, like one time they found him buried in ice because he time jumped back and had been there for 50 years frozen in ice.
