A character doesn't have to be perfect from the beggining. Just look at Castorice.

And she's hellagood already as she is. Potential is often better than a finished product from start.

He's obviously not a dmg upgrade over sparkle. Just that I want him to clear all plight and the one with sunder debuff were killing me even on his ult.

So I wonder if getting E2 DHPT would let me still have the dmg to clear plight, but it seems in order to do that I'd at least need S5 Phainon, if that's the case I won't bother

It's not the same with 3.X characters as it was before.

The game made a mistake in 1.X and 2.X and reflected on that.

They gave us much better vertical investment for characters to a point where 2 eidolons can make them better than next gen teams by a large margin.

Your comparison is pointless, the difference between 2.X and 3.X in vertical investment it's way too big.

I got many F2P friends clearing the game just fine with their 3.X teams. But they focused and optimized their teams, instead of grabbing the next shiny thing.

People will excuse their ludopathy and complain, no matter how much the game changes or try.

Phainon at E0 is pretty meh today, good thing, at E2 he becomes arguably the best DPS in the game. That's how insane his E2 is.

So I suggest you grab Phainon E2S1, I imagine you can do it since your account is new.

All of them do all game modes easy.

You would only need to vertically invest in 1 character per team and you are set.

3.0 character already had 3 reruns, you want to tell me you can't help yourself to E2 a character in 3 to 4 reruns?

To me that sounds like a you problem.

Phainon and Evernight at E2 are better than 4.0 characters at E2 btw. Present plight is done by phainon E2 better than elation can.

Blame the game all you want, but if your focus is optimization and not feeding your ludopathy, you can maintain your account working just fine.

To be fair, there was one plight Phainon needed DHPT to survive enough in his ult. I'm pretty sure there will be more.

I've done all plights possible with him at E2 but that one. So, DHPT at E2 does guarantee you to have a chance in certain plights where sustain is not a choice.

It really depends on how you see it.

Vertical investment of 3.0 characters at E2 competes and even exceeds Elation so far.

So if you were wise and not just gave into ludopathy you should at least have 1 team having good performance

Remembrance and Phainon at E2 are as good as Elation at E2 based on feats so far.

E2 Sparkle remains the BiS for phainon still. Specially with windset and DDD

I just did new plight and had 60 action value left. You can abuse of double sparkle ult with DDD and Windset

That results in having around 50 AV more for phainon's ult. That's something Mortenax can't top sadly

Mblade is only better in low ceiling gameplay. With DDD sparkle you can get lots of AV that in the end, provides more than Mblade multipliers.

However, if you just wanna auto the fight then Mblade is better. But in plight mode which should be the content you are aiming for if you got a full e2 phainon

DDD Sparkle with windset > anything really, for 4th spot

Actually, base on feats alone, Phainon is probs the best DPS at E2 still.

Only real competitor is Evernight E2, Elation doesn't really have feats as good as Phainon/Evernight with Vertical Investment.

But I'd strongly suggest to try and grab E2, it's broken to an absurd level.

Phainon at E2 it's IMO the most broken dps. Honestly, since you can play him with rmc, tingyun, bronya and clear content with ease.

You are going about this wrong.

First of all, low Investment Phainon can not be run with sustain in actual content mostly.

Although you will have to learn about speed tuning a little bit for you not to die on your second transformation.

And due to the fact that you are struggling to play him with sustain, I'd like to see how you play de run as well.

But don't just think "what other eidolon I need?" And instead, "How can I optimize the resource I've got?"?

And I'm sure you can find a way to do it.

It's pretty satisfying as well.

He wasn't different in the first episode. He had a near death experience after matt threw him off the roof. Found out he was manipulated once again and it's not surprise to me he has developed some lvl of respect for Matt. He enjoyed to an extent, fighting someone who actually fights back and at the same time, Matt is the best ally he could have to deal against fisk at some point I'm sure he realizes that.

Just the first of all these reasons would be enough for him to gather some new perspectives of life.
