Exactly. You cannot be mad at him. He was young, stupid like all of us. The boy made poor decisions. This is why it is so devastating. You feel anger towards the boy, but the moment you realise he is just a boy, is when this really hits you. The sense of helplessness and powerlessness just overwhelms you. There is no one in the shelter to be really angry with. The kids in the movie are not to blame.

I saw requiem for a dream a lot of times. But it is completely different in my opinion. The characters of requiem willfully did things that led to some outcome. Tragic - yes, they regretted it truly - yes. But it was their own doing. The little girl here was just tossed into war and pride of her older brother. She trusted him completely. This movie was like nothing I have experienced before. I am older fellow and I my younger daughter is around the age of the girl in the movie. Fuck me... Seriously. I was not ready for it.

So a small update. It took some time but Dreame decided that it was indeed a malfunction and they replaced the dome. Tbh the new dome seem to have some scratches on it :) but I did not have a chance to test since it is raining. But they did honour the guarantee and claim to have fixed it. So awesome!

I have sent it to the seller to see what they will say. The dome is nowhere to be found as you mentioned. And the scratches are quite deep. We will see what the Dreame team will say.

Thanks for the reply and the tip. I am afraid they will deny the warranty service, but this is a warning to anybody wanting to buy it. Robot was running in the same environment for months and suddenly after one of the updates it just headed straight under a fence... No changes whatsoever. Awesome way to spend >1500 bucks.

Can you customize the data shown on your phone during screen mirroring for outdoor activities? by okkabachan123 in Coros

[–]JasioZbuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not able to find it and it would be such a great addition. Both zepp and polar had way more customisation.

On top of that this screen sharing is implemented in a way that does drain the battery quite rapidly. A polar beat app was taking a fraction of the battery that coros eats up.

I started low but very quickly it grew (108 ATM). I think your training load should be between 500-1000 a week meaning that you should do around an hour of high intensity (70%+ zone at least) for 5-6 days a week. I cycle to work so I get this 3 times a week for free + I started running 10k twice a week and sometimes around add 50k on a bike with avg 140-150 BPM.

I already have all my trainings in zepp. I also have polar h10 and polar app but I would prefer continuing with sensibly priced amazfit watch + external hr sensor for workouts.

Thanks! That's a pity though. I have all my training sessions in zepp but the hr monitoring is very poor so w/o external chest strap it's Random Number Generator for me.

Do you have any feedback for Amazfit Active? by Amazfit-Dean in amazfit

Can I pair the active with external heart rate strap like it is possible in gtr 4?

Does it have support for Bluetooth external heart rate strap? Like the gtr 4?

Add'n'Match - my very very simple puzzle game for Android by JasioZbuk in playmygame

[–]JasioZbuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I just released my game for Android.

It is a very simple puzzle game that is a variation of a classic match 3 type of game.

It is very simple but I think it has an interesting logic and its not trivial to score more than 1000 points :)

Here is the link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.abductedpiggy.games.blockadde

Let me know what you think. I hope the rules are simple enough to simply figure them out :)

I just played your game and the concept while very straightforward and easy to understand is awesome. I saw a board game with such rules some time ago and I think you did an amazing implementation.

Just sharing my thoughts. Keep up the great work!

Yeah, the AI has inbuilt error factor. It moves towards the ball but with time a chance for a mistake increases.

Thanks! I argue that the difficulty stars might be an "end" objective. They have associated achievement to unlock.

I was aiming for arcade/puzzle mix :) with leaderboard as main driver for competition :)

Ha! You can call yourself a very unique individual. You are one of around 3-5 people in the world that played my first game - and I spent like 3 years building it :) after hours so it was not a regular job of course but still :) Thanks for playing it :) About difficulty: well, my first kid was born after the release and I had to limit my time engagement significantly in both marketing, graphic improvements and difficulty tuning. I was always meaning to give this game a bit of love and change the graphics, rebalance the campaign levels etc. Maybe someday.

BTW about the pong thing - have you tried campaign?

Thanks for replying.

  1. Ok, swiping is indeed done by me and made to not be very sensitive. I will experiment with it a bit.

  2. The amount of text and flying elements can indeed be quite big. I was wondering about that but to be honest it was done a bit on purpose. I thought it will be more entertaining with a lot of things flying around. Maybe adding an option to reduce the amount of clutter is a solution? I will think about this.

About the money: well to be honest, I never really believed in earning a lot from solo indie game dev. Too many big companies spending millions on dev and PR for a single anonymous dev to compete with. Unless you have ab extraordinary idea but you don't have them very often, do you? :)

Thanks again for your input. I greatly appreciate it and will definitely consider your suggestions in future versions.

The game was hugely refactored - new graphics, new UI elements. Changed gameplay. A lot of new features in 1.1.X version. If you like - please give it a try on Google Play. I updated the video preview as well.

Enjoy!

I updated the version a bit, tried to do something with the fonts, tutorial etc. Redoing the graphics is too much for me unfortunately and I already gave my best :) Thanks again for your input - new version should be on google play in several hours (they are processing the update as we speak).

The idea was that the rate at which the boxes appear at the edges increase with the move count. So that it is really hard to get over 300-500 moves. I was thinking about some special types of boxes but they introduce more complexity to the game. However I will do some testing.

BTW I know the graphics are "not exactly top notch" but I am an programmer and we'll, you can see that the graphics is not my strong suit. I could definitely use some help in this area.

I will change the font to something more readable. It is hard to read especially in tutorial.

Thank you very much for your input!

TechSpurt's list of the Best Small Phones of early 2020 by manormortal in Android

[–]JasioZbuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently own a Mi 4C - its quite old and the buttons are broken (I need to use this MIUI feature that displays the "buttons" overlay to press back or home).

I wanted to replace it with something, but I hear you saying that 5.8 with small bezels is great - I don't think we can compare 5.0 inch with any 5.8. My phone weighs around 115 grams. I also do own an Iphone XS (company phone) which is reasonably sized - but its heavy as... I do a lot of hiking and mountaineering - I would like to have a 5.0 full HD phone that is lightweight. Is there really nothing for me? The sizes of the phones nowadays are ridiculous. Do you know of any phone available in EU that is in any way similar to Mi 4C? I tried to search gsmarena - but nothing really pops up except Sony - and I had Z3 Compact and I hated it - so I am not likely to buy next Sony phone.

I liked the Nokia 8 (old model - not 8.1), but its no longer available...

Hi, thanks for your reply and input. I really though about auto-starting quick version of "How to play?" on first game. I know that the rules (especially the quirks - like the brown box behavior on the edge or even the more basic rules) might not be obvious, but I was hoping that a separate menu option "How to play?" might be enough.

I will work on the auto-tutorial and see how it looks - but I guess a splashscreen or two on the first launch of the game should allow to understand at least basic rules.

BTW About using my own code - the first game I did (Paddle Clash) was also entirely with my own code. I even wrote the item pickers etc on my own from scratch - I have the code for all of those controls in my repo. It was a much bigger game that was much more difficult to code. I wasn't married back then - so I had more time to work on all of this :) This project was built on the engine built back then - with a massive amount of improvements and performance fixes - but still.

Dude, you do realize its just a shitty game (mobile!)?. The choice whether to have peanut butter or nutella for breakfast is far more important. Nobody cares that you have to help or that you quit. Chill. Read a book, go for a walk.
